The hearing in question is next Thursday.

It was originally reported that it was on the 31st but I see now that it is on the 3rd.

Based on all indications, a preliminary injunction targeting the NCAA and SEC will be issued then. Appeals for a stay will be filed. Those have virtually no shot.

I also saw that the judge issued a new TRO that specifically prohibits the SEC from enforcing its new rules.

How confident am I that these players will end up on college teams?

I meant, how confident are you that the injunction will be issued?

No. The hearing is rescheduled for next Thursday

Yeah, I missed that.

I'm just leery because the spotlight has been on LSU. If it proceeds as you are expecting and the injunction offers us protection in this case, I do agree that we should go for it.

The NCAA waited around and did nothing while its member institutions made a shite ton of money off the student athletes. They could have been proactive. They did not do that.

Ultimately judges and courts got involved and now the NCAA gets it's shite pushed in almost every time it goes to court.

It's like the SEC has no intelligent people following the story. So now you do what the NCAA did and you are surprised when judge pushes your shite in?

The College Football Playoff is the same.

All you dumb asses running these organizations should have been out in front of this and making allowances and rules to allow players to get NIL. Anyone with a brain knew after the Colorado football player/snowboarder incident this was where is was all headed. If you had done it 20 years ago and put common sense rules in place, no one would be the wiser. You also were absolute idiots in letting the OBannon case ever get to trial. Pay that man and make him go away. But you didn't and it allowed the courts to get involved. They ain't giving that power back.

Now you have absolutely no control over any of it. What made you think you could wrest some control back from a judge? Morons.

He won't, but I would love to see Sankey's response to the judge saying, you have to come here and tell me why this new rule doesn't violate my first order.

By early next week every conf and the playoff committee will completely reverse tract and the entire case will be dropped and afterwards even more players will end up eligible.

The SEC needs to learn who to throw in with. The NCAA is not the right choice.

I think that opportunity will present itself next Thursday. Sankey should consider himself lucky I'll not be sitting in the judge's seat to dress him down.
