- The team did not quit. I have seen LSU teams absolutely give up after being down two TDs the past couple years. Seeing this team fight until the end when we did not look like the better team basically all game, was a little refreshing.

- Most mistakes we made can be corrected. You have a new head coach, a transfer QB, and a roster that was given to you not in the best shape. It will take time.

- Brian Kelly does not have a single FULL class of recruits out there yet. We are judging this guy off of players that were either given to him to work with, transfers, or guys he had to recruit late. Let Kelly get a few classes under his belt with guys that best fits his style of play then we can judge however we want.

Tiger rant doesn’t allow those rational comments. Shame on you.

I agree. The players did not quit and almost pulled out an improbable victory. Great recruiting is a must. We need to recruit talent that also has great character. For the most part we displayed good character last night.

Looking at the joke of a team he inherited and played in the bowl game just a few months ago versus the team he put on the field last night, it’s incredible we were as close as we were.

Positive. They'll see the open players when they watch the film.

Just watching condensed game highlights on YouTube there's an open throw on pretty much every single tuck and run.

I don't know if that's who Daniels is or if they're putting so much pressure on him not to throw a pick that he's gun shy... But there's plenty of opportunity left out there on the field.

Except for the flea flicker, no long passes completed. Quite a few mid range tho.

I looked at the QB's career stats and don't think he's ever been one to quickly process reads and torch the opponent's secondary. That is never who this guy is and there is no indication that he will develop into that. The best hope is that LSU has a pro style QB that can do these things now and Kelly just needs to give him a chance. Otherwise, it's a rebuilding year and let's hope for better then.

You could say this about multiple games from last year as well.

This is true, but there were also many mistakes that should have been corrected before week one.

The 3rd down conversions for them were Infuriating. Is that fixable? Idk? Is that linebackers or what? I did see a couple times the linebackers were close by but not close enough.

I didn’t see Kelly making excuses. He was genuinely upset. That’s a positive as well

We played about as bad as a team can play and only lost by a point.

I was impressed with the fight in the team and the professionalism Daniels showed on that last drive. What I wasn’t impressed with is the fact Boutte seems all about himself and plays halfass. I think if that’s literally how he feels we would be better without him, that was a joke how he acted last night

Agree with you. I was able to watch the game just because the players didn’t quit. Normally I would have been so mad, I would have turned it off lol. Proud of the team for not quitting.

I think driving the entire field in what, under two minutes? That was really impressive. Think if we have that urgency in us all game, we win.

100% but there were a few games where the team just flat out quit. I think if we bring that same fight all season for every game, we will see better days.

Daniels has a big arm, great attitude, and can run like Johnny Manziel. He looked awesome when we went tempo late (yes prevent helped that).

Despite all the mistakes and seeming like we could not get them off the field we did hold them to 24 pts. Could easily have been 42.

Mason Taylor looks like a stud catching the ball.

We at least saw in game adjustments that worked.

The defense wasn’t blowing assignments left and right.

We forced a few punts and long field goals and 4th down stops.
