While Larson (an outfielder) is your DH is just asking for that to happen.

Also why not put Ackenhausen in to face Jordan? Pathetic.

Neal is a decent bat. But not good enough to keep forcing into the field like this.

Remarkably stupid decision on Johnson’s part

I was wondering that to??
Why not just DH Neal and play Larson.
If it's a question about the dh vs catcher swap unless milazzo is hurt it isn't valid.
I have had some questions about Jay decision making so far this series.
Pitching changes
When the frick did helmers become our stopper?
Little is a mid week reliever

If in fact Ack is the closer the Guidry is your stop guy
Kade Woods is MIA

I trust Jay
It is a long season hopefully this was just a bump in the road and not a sign of things to come

Lighten up, Francis! Fans gonna be fans, and if that offends you, bugger-out. And these are legitimate, statistically-based comments, not some far-fetched idea.

Well then Pootie. How many runs did that move cost? Please tell us, Mr. Statistics.

It’s obvious Neal was promised he would start if healthy when signed. OR. Worse would be JJ plays favorites which of course you can get away with a majority of the time in the most non athletic sport in the universe. More flexibility required in curling.

He’s seeing where he can play players. He is seeing if he can sacrifice D for bats. Hes the smartest head coach lsu has ever had and will have us right by mid sec season.

Imagine being one of the many outfielders on the team watching ole Neal trot out to RF.

Johnson is still holding auditions & likely wants to see if he could stick Neal their regularly. Actually, it’s not likely, that’s exactly what he was doing and it was obvious when he let Larson DH in stead of Neal

It’s about 310 down the line in RF, not a ton of ground to cover. Was a good opportunity on paper to experiment

Frey is injured and the rest can’t hit.

Neal playing RF is not the reason LSU lost today.
He made nice plays Saturday that contributed to LSU’s win.

Go away again, Magician2

JJ seems to be sacrificing defense for bats... but the bats are stagnant! A good defense behind inadequate pitching would keep the game closer.

Rest of OF Can’t hit ??? Neal hit 209 last year. That’s right 209 last year in 88 PA. Struck out 31 percent of those plate appearances. If you use the AB k model, the strike out rate is 41 percent. I know facts facts facts. Who should go away now? Again, imagine being Mic Paul who runs a 6.5 60 and was given around 10AB all of last year watching ole 209 avg. lofted swing hitting catcher Brady Neal jog out to RF.

Kling is the fly in the ointment. You sacrifice Kling's fielding capability by having to put an athlete catcher in RF, because the RF'er has to play left, so the LF'er can play CF to cover for Kling who can't hit a beach ball.

At least at this point in the season. We’re down with the experimenting part of the season. At least relegate that shite to midweek games.
