Hope he continues to crush it. If he played like that here we’re going to Omaha last season.

he himself hit 3 more homeruns this weekend than LSU did

Good for him he had plenty of opportunity here he just didn't excel for whatever reason. Probably facing easier pitching

He's hit as many home runs as we have in 7 games this season as an entire team

He wasnt good against the bad teams either here.
Going into conference play last year he was 12/56 (.226) ith 1 HR in 17 games. Outside of a couple teams our OOC prior to conference play was cupcake city.

Yeah some dudes just need a change of scenery to see the game better and/or differently.

It's amazing to me that just a change in perspective can have such a profound positive impact on play. Or, maybe Kling has just faced shitty pitching.

I think it’s a change of scenery, like prospect said earlier, most of the student body at Penn State probably doesn’t know they have a baseball team.
But also people forget that Kling never got a full seasons worth of at bats at LSU so he never got a ton of experience.
So it’s probably a little bit of change of scenery, more experience, crappier pitching.
He has the tools. Maybe now it’s just all coming together. We will never know how 2025 Kling would translate to an SEC schedule, but one thing is for sure , he is better now against the crappy pitching than he ever has been.

Progress is not always linear. Not every young player will be good right away.

He needed at bats for it to click. Unfortunately at LSU you don't get the luxury of playing through slumps unless you are a very select few players, or it's a down year.

He might bat 400 being in a third tier conference. There is also a chance he goes 2 months without a hit.
I wish it would have worked out with him, he had chance after chance

He must not be being fed sliders. That was his kryptonite.

He will be fed whatever he struggles with soon enough. I think some of yall forget what he did to non conference pitching his freshman year. In the beginning of the year,I mean.

His inability to lay off the high heater needs to be studied. Time after time, he chased heaters at his eyes.

Yeah people forget Kling showed a lot of promise freshman year actually. He just had a huge sophomore slump, and Jay tried to let him work through it a bunch.
Right before conference play freshman year he went 15 for 23 in 7 games straight. Then he had a 1 for 17 week first week of conference play.

Absolutely, but he's not going to be facing SEC pitching this season

Print the tee shirts. Mr. February.
I do wish him luck.

I wish him the best and glad he’s doing well but you people saying he didn’t get his chance to be a starter at LSU are crazy. Jay gave him plenty of opportunities at LSU he just wasn’t good here.
