It’s like paying a hooker. You aren’t paying for the tailgating you’re paying so you can trash the place for a bit and then leave.

And you’re paying for just showing up and doing the deed and not having to put hours of work and planning and prep and effort into everything before the main event. Hit it and quit it.

That’s not what you are paying for.

Mostly companies that don’t want to have their own employees set up and manage their tailgates

We Tailgate close by the corporate tailgating… They’re wanting to expand and kick us out. They’ve already closed off the old golf course for tailgating. Tailgating as we know it is coming to an end.

It’s not great. It’s a turnkey thing that businesses or LSU departments can pay for. Comes with a tent, couches and TV. Most of them are in the straight up sun. I think you bring your own food and beverages.

I've never understood the appeal of spending thousands on tailgating gear, food, etc, schlepping it to campus, breaking it down and bringing it back home, then spending all day Sunday washing dishes and cleaning up everything. Football weekends are supposed to be enjoyable and relaxing. That seems like neither.

It is not a substitute for routine tailgaters. It is a great service to corporate groups or even social groups that do not have the resources to pull it off but have the cash. I have been to a couple and they were pretty good setups.

I also think there's a place in front of Mathernes thats run by Revelry that you can pay for on game day as an individual. The same peeps that do the corporate tents

Corporate sponsored tailgates are fairly common. Not sure I see an issue there.

When we went to the South Carolina game in Columbus in 24, it seemed like the only thing they had as far as tailgating was the paid type. It was between the stadium and their football “field house”. All were the standard 12X12 tents with pretty limited food.
I’m hoping there was some real tailgating somewhere else on campus that we just didn’t see.

It’s off s. Stadium across from Turead and by Patrick Taylor plus in front of Mathernes. Don’t knock it. Some companies rather pay so they can visit with their customers and have fun rather than do all the work. I’ve been to a couple of these and it’s fun.
