Clemson 38 Miami 3 looks like a good target so LSU 35 Miami 0.

I'll go on record that if we completely blow out a top 10 team, my opinion of SE will start to shift.

Not O....that will take a lot more than 1 game.

Miami's D is going to be legit. Their secondary is one of the best in the country and they have a ton of depth. We don't have a game changer at running back and inexperienced OLine.

Miami even at 14.
LSU Under

I'm thinking this is a 14-17 type game.

Is that the best strategy though?

I’ve been saying Miami is overrated based on hype all offseason but their D is legit and get stronger when they can create mistakes and turnovers.

Why attack their strength? Isn’t that what everyone clowns Miles for doing?

Keep the chains moving and those DL chasing us with dump offs and rollouts and their lack of depth will be their undoing. Isn’t that why LSU couldn’t stop MSU or Troy?

They have a good starting front seven but not the depth needed yet.

Miles would have this Miami D on roller skates by halftime, and honestly O should too.

Besides, what makes you think O is “ready to let it go”?

That dude coaches more scared than anyone I’ve ever seen. He lives for a close loss so it can be spun as “competitive” and there are many examples that show that.

I love it when folk bring up game like ND as if that means something - play a team early then someone else plays the same team later - means nothing

People often miss that we would've had a 23-14 lead if our field goal kickers hadn't missed two field goals. Notre Dame got insanely lucky on two missed field goals and a botched big play by our Cornerback with a minute left

I'll take the over on Miami and I think 24 is a good predictor I wouldn't take the over or under on that one.

I’m pretty sure E will play things close to the vest with Burrow against a defense that feeds on turnovers.
He will give him easy underneath throws to TEs and dump offs to CEH and tell him to tuck and run if his reads aren’t there.

In the short time I’ve been here, I often find myself agreeing with your take on things. The one thing I see that could change from what you laid out is if Burrow does what he does best, go through his progressions, and find the open receiver that the Miami D is giving him, as you suggest, and even though not going for big plays, the LSU offense still puts up big numbers.

LSU - push
Miami - over

LSU 24 - 20

Burreaux makes some big plays with his legs. Everyone knows Ensminger/CEO won’t turn him loose just yet. O line play will tell us what the season will look like.

Defense will be stout this year. Can offense sustain and keep defense from being winded by the end of the 3rd quarter.

Looking forward to the season. Cautiously optimistic...

I think he will play to the strength of the team - it will lie with the faith that he and CSE have at
kick-off with Joe.

I think his hand will be shown if we start hearing Joe is getting major reps with the 1's around the second week of fall practice.

I hope that O and E want to break the Tigers out of the ball control of Les Miles to allow us to break up the tight 8 in the box D of all teams the play LSU.

We shall see but 1st game for CSE and Joe - you could be right.

Would love that, and agree it could happen. I’m such a big fan of this Burrow signing and love all the feedback we’ve gotten from Buckeye Nation on him

Whatever it takes to keep the chains moving and keep that DL chasing us gives us the best chance to win imo.

I take the over, 28-17 or 31-17. I think LSU takes care of business of most of the game but Miami scores in the 4th.

Tough for me to see a complete shutdown for the first game, but it should be a solid win.
