He was the HC for the top 4 single game rushing performances in LSU football history. He's only been the HC for 17 games.

I don't think he gets enough credit for that.

He also fired the running back coach who in one year had the 3 highest single game rushing records.

Why would he get credit for going against all time bad run defenses

Nothing against O, but he doesn't deserve the credit for those performances.

Why does he deserve credit for that? There really is no coaching involved in the running game in football

He's doing it with Miles' players. No credit allowed.

Miles success was all because of Saban

Now all of O's success is because of Coach O

Of course he doesn't get all the credit. But as the HC he should get some credit. Hell, if the RB's were running for <50 yards in those games he'd get some of the blame, right?

Where do you guys come from? Every week theres some guy giving credit to Coach O for putting his shoes on the correct feet in here. So keep it going find something else to give him credit for. Hes 6-3, thats pretty good.

The Rant when players do something bad... "coaches are trash, fire everyone, they don't know how to develop players."

The Rant when players do something amazing..."haha don't kid yourself, the coaches had nothing to do with the players performance."

What? I've been critical of O when things have gone wrong. I call em like I see em.

Is our fan base so miserable that we can't even give our own HC even a sliver of credit for our success?

....and in turn hired a much more respected RB coach who is also the #2 recruiter in the country.

I’m not that high on Orgeron, but even I can see that was a great move

Don't waste your breath my man, there is a loud minority (maybe they make up half) on this site that would eat a cyanid pill before they would give credit to O for anything.

The fact is, that what you mentioned IS an accomplishment. If it were so easy to run for that many yards, why hadn't Les Mikes broken the record in his 11 years? O has broken the 250 mark 4 times in 17 games.

Now, the grain of salt is that O has had the privilege of coaching 2 of the best RBs to ever wear the P&G.

Oh, when I opened the thread I thought it was going to be about Troy.

Juluke was incompetent and about as "In over his Head" as any assistant football coach ever.

Single handedly blew the Florida game by not making sure that Guice 100% knew his assignment on that final play after the time out.

Couldn't even pull Etienne in from Jennings when we really needed a great running back for 2018 to take over after Guice and Williams are gone. He would have helped this year as well, from what I've seen of him at Clemson..............

I can't really credit him for that, but I credit him for beating Arkansas worse than Miles ever beat them (after Arkansas blew us out two years in a row), beating Ole Miss in Tiger Stadium worse the Saban and Miles ever beat them and scoring the most points against aTm in the history of the series. He is also credited with the Troy loss (though our previous two coaches almost lost to them too) and the State blowout. But he definitely has some nice highs in there.
