re: Will Magee start at RT against Bama? - NWLAtiger55
I really like the way Hines is playing. Our line has been a pleasant surprise this year considering all the injuries we’ve had to overcome and the low expectations coming into the season. I’m excited to see this unit perform next year with all the experience they’re gaining this season. If we get In...

Will Magee start at RT against Bama? - NWLAtiger55
Or will it be Deculus? Deculus has played good at times and has struggled some as well. He was pulled in the State game and Magee took over at RT for the remainder of the game. Magee struggled against Georgia at LG, but I think he is more comfortable at RT. If we get Brumfield back and start Magee a...

re: Are Thomas Perry and Joseph Evans under rated? - NWLAtiger55
He’s definitely quick like Downs. I think Downs would’ve benefited much more playing in the defense we run now. He would be better suited as a 3-4 DE than a 4-3 DT. I read an article after Evans camped at LSU this summer that said he came in just a hair under 6’3” and a shade under 300lbs. ...

re: Are Thomas Perry and Joseph Evans under rated? - NWLAtiger55
This is false. He’s a bit over 6’2”. Glenn Dorsey was just a shade under 6’2”. Not comparing the 2 in any way, just making a point that being tall doesn’t mean shite....I don’t get the Downs comparisons. I guess because they’re both 3* prospects. Downs was 6’1 275lbs coming into LSU. Joseph was bigge...

re: Are Thomas Perry and Joseph Evans under rated? - NWLAtiger55
1a has plenty of size. Depth? Not so much. 1a Oak Grove has one of the biggest OL’s in the state. Haynesville’s OL averages 6’0 255lbs. I’d say that’s a big OL for any class and we aren’t close to the biggest OL in 1a. ...

re: Are Thomas Perry and Joseph Evans under rated? - NWLAtiger55
Haynesville always schedules larger schools to play in non-district. Obviously we can’t help what district we play in. Doesn’t matter either way, I’ve seen Evans blow up double teams against kids his size. I see your from Homer. Sounds like you may be a little bitter because Haynesville has been ki...

re: Are Thomas Perry and Joseph Evans under rated? - NWLAtiger55
CamRon is a head taller than everyone on the field every Friday! He’s close to 6’7 and I believe he’s only 15 years old. I graduated with his Mom and his Dad was an all-state LBer for Haynesville in 2000. He used to roll me up like a dirty booger everyday at practice! ...

re: Are Thomas Perry and Joseph Evans under rated? - NWLAtiger55
No problem. I think a lot of the reason Joseph isn’t rated higher is because he doesn’t go to a whole lot of camps in the off-season. LSU is the only one that I know of that he’s gone to. He received his first offer from LSU and committed on the spot. I honestly don’t think he cares whether he recei...

re: Are Thomas Perry and Joseph Evans under rated? - NWLAtiger55
I’ve watched Evans play the past few years. I really don’t know if he’s underrated or not, but I can tell you he’s going to be a good one. Smart, high character, hardworking kid. He has very little fat on his 300lb frame. He has tree trunk thighs and has a quick burst off the line of scrimmage. It’s...

re: Charles and Cush both practicing today - NWLAtiger55
This may be a dumb question, but say Brumfield’s injury is more significant than expected and he ends up missing the rest of the season. Is there any way he could earn a medical redshirt and come back next year? ...

re: 2020 DL Taking Shape - NWLAtiger55
I just don’t see Cam Jackson being a DL in college. He’s 6’6 275 as a junior and will more than likely be 6’7 by the end of his senior year. He has a long lean frame better suited for OT at the next level. Watching him play, it still doesn’t seem like he’s grown into his body yet, if that makes any ...

re: Once again posters on The Rant were correct in assessment of a player - Lloyd Cushenberry - NWLAtiger55
My opinion on Cushenberry was based off of the spring game. He didn’t have a very good showing. Like i said before, I was wrong and glad I was wrong. My opinion had zero to do about whether he was a 3* or 5*. Once you get to campus all that goes out the window. I will say I think most fans expect mo...

re: Joseph Evans has lived in opponent’s backfield so far this season - NWLAtiger55
Through 3 games this season Evans has totaled 17 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 3 sacks, and 2 fumble recoveries. Not bad for just 3 games considering he’s getting double teamed majority of the game. Over half of the tackles he’s made have been behind the line of scrimmage. ...

re: Joseph Evans has lived in opponent’s backfield so far this season - NWLAtiger55
I agree, I think he’s bigger than Downs. I want to say Downs was about 6’1 275lbs coming into LSU. Evans is built more like Bennie Logan in my opinion. ...

re: Once again posters on The Rant were correct in assessment of a player - Lloyd Cushenberry - NWLAtiger55
I admit I was wrong about Cushenberry. I didn’t think he was ready this year and wanted Brumfield to slide over but boy was I wrong! Cush has been the most consistent O-Lineman we’ve had so far this year. Glad I was wrong on this one. ...

re: Joseph Evans has lived in opponent’s backfield so far this season - NWLAtiger55
He’s listed at 6’2 305lbs in the program. He has very very little fat on his frame. I don’t think he has the body type to be a true NT in our 3-4 alignment, but he is suited perfect for 3-4 DE. Very quick off the ball and has gotten better with using his hands this year. ...

re: Brumfield and his leadership - NWLAtiger55
You can’t ask for a better leader than Brumfield upfront. It definitely helps mold the younger guys and show them how things should be. I have been pleasantly surprised with Cushenberry. He has been possibly our most steady O-Lineman so far this year. Very smart player. There was one play, early in ...

Fuxk em let them so called “experts” keep doubting these Tigers!!! We will keep proving them wrong! They won’t give us respect? That’s ok, we will keep earning it! This team has momentum and we now know where we stand. The “experts” won’t admit we are a top team because they all predicted us to be o...
