I'll take kicker Juan Carlos Betanzos for $500, please.

certainly a low point in LSU fandom - no excuse for that at all - none.

I think Nuss started out on the wrong foot with LSU fans when he sat out the bowl game his first year to preserve his redshirt and made lsu start a WR at QB. Most good qbs don’t play 5 years so the redshirt typically wouldn’t matter.

Nuss is frustrating to a lot of fans bc they see how much talent he has but then he makes some of the most bonehead decisions randomly. Also, getting up limping after every sack in his career doesn’t win the fans over.

/\ this /\

and it may be the limping after every hit that finally wore me out on him. To me it was his way of reminding us "hey = don't forget I'm playing with an injury" = hard to read it any other way. but I've tried.

Don't recall ever seeing so many bone-headed decisions in my life

- but I don't remember what I had for breakfast either.

Juan Betanzos (Look it up!) He was an LSU kicker that was booed so often for missing (which he did a lot) that when he finally made one he ran to the student section and flipped them off (there is a famous picture of it)

I think you got your kickers mixed up. I recall that being Ronnie Lewis who flipped off the fans.

Hey, he's paid $ 4 million to play QB. No excuse for that brain fart he pulled with that "failure to step into the pocket" debacle.

You wanna play big boy football..........

I totally agree with you. I am "old" too so maybe it's a generational thing.

Nope. It’s still Jefferson then Harris by a comfortable margin. 2008 Lee makes a strong case for bronze.

1/9/12 alone probably cements Jefferson here.

These are paid professionals.
It’s criminal that Kelly didn’t see that Nuss was loafing in the offseason and not putting in the work. I guess he was busy golfing or on vacation.

So did Ronnie Lewis in 85. Missed a 23 yarder and we tied bama. He flipped off the stands.
I’ve backed Nuss his entire career. Even lost $20 to my stepson cuz I bet him Nuss would lead the sec in passing this year. We he tried to roll left and into that sack (thinking he’s Mike Vick) on Saturday night, he lost me for good. I’m done with him. Let’s just take this season behind the barn.

What exactly have you seen that Nuss is treated any worse than other key players, especially QB's that have stunk it up in the past? Some mean messages on the message boards?

I'm old but i try to remember our players for their best moments and not their worst. Hodson brought us two SEC titles. Jarrett Lee was money on the last drives vs UTenn and UF in '10. JJ has two wins over Bama (Saban) as QB. Hope Nuss sticks it out and has a chance to redeem himself. I need it.

Overall you don't deserve the down votes. I think Nuss sticking it out is not called for here. His emotional state is not good and who knows physically.

That's pre-Burrow. Post-Burrow 18/31 121 is unacceptable especially when it's passes to the side and none down field.

5th year senior. got paid. high expectations. garbage play this year. not much else to say.

o-line didnt do him any favors but the wide open receivers he didnt see tried.

hes obviously a good kid and an LSU guy but he didnt put it together when we had all the other pieces this year.

I dont hold my breath w Nuss cause I know the ball is only traveling 4 yds on a screen...now when he does wind up I absolutely hold my breath as 50/50 shot its into double or triple coverage

This is as big of an instance of recency bias as I've ever seen.

If I thought for 15 minutes I could come up with at least 20 athletes more vilified than Nuss.

I can’t wait for Nuss to kill it in the NFL to show everyone it’s coaching
