Sounds like he turned into a really good guy. Said he still visits LSU during football season, has a relationship with Coach O. Prayed every day for Jarrett Lee during the 2008 season and said he could’ve been an incredible quarterback.

Good for Ryan. I always wonder what could’ve been with him because he had so much talent

If the guy being interviewed was the guy who was playing at that time, what could have been.....

He said it best at the 8:20 mark: getting kicked off the team hurt more back then than it does now, because it was something that had to happen for him to be a better man.
Great interview. He seems like an incredibly mature guy now and he has definitely grown up. I feel like he would be a great guy to bring in and talk to the new freshmen each fall to keep them on track.

He always sounded like he was a sincere changed man in every college interview too.

Wow, Ryan has grown up. I'm impressed, he was able to reflect on the tribulations he went through (most all self made). Good for you Ryan.

Good for him. While painful, maybe we needed him to make the mistakes too in order to develop the team we turned into in 2019 and now.

Dude rolled up into the SEC championship game like it was nothing, coasted to the W and an MVP what a talent.

I know most of it was in a joking manner, but I'm glad Perrilloux stopped getting blamed for everything under the sun eventually. For a while there it was like.. shite I got a flat tire today - frick you Ryan Perrilloux! He was young and immature and it seems like he got things turned around.

Everyone goes off to college and makes mistakes and probably has some things they would do differently if they had a chance to go back.
He did it in the microscope of being a QB at a big school.
Great story and the impact college athletics can have on kids. Honey Badger did ok for himself too and has been a great story as well coming from the background he did.

yeah, not like he had a QB go #1 overall in the draft 2 years prior or anything.

Always will wonder how different 2008 and 2009 would have turned out if Perrilloux didnt get kicked off team, granted sounds like he had his mind made up he was only going to start for 1 season and go pro

Strange to watch interview, several times, I thought, no way this is Perrilloux when he was saying he takes blame and made mistakes. Glad at the end of the day, that disaster turned him into what appears to be a great man who learned some lessons. As sad as it was, it would be worse, if he was what everyone thought he could be in college but didn't learn anything and his life was a disaster now. Good for him.

I giggled just a bit when he said the last time he talked with Miles was at the casino.

LSU under Miles was/is the only high profile school I know that would kick off a championship high level QB and Heisman finalist defensive standout off the team.

No RP, no 2007 national championship.
People always forget that.
