So being a backup Qb for a P5 SEC scool and getting meaningful snaps isn't good enough? He would be 1 injury away being in field. If he'd rather go sit at Juco and MAYBE get to be a starter at a new schoolthen no love lost but I don't think it's best for him. I think he's getting some biased bad advice.

He may have been a situational backup only. Meaning if Burrow went down, Brennan might have been brought in over LN.

Especially if we are going with a more pass heavy offense.

No one wants to be Matt Flynn anymore. Kids don’t want to be in college for 5 years waiting to start.

Would you have given that same advice to JB a few months ago? He did the same that after being pushed to third place on OSU's Depth chart. Can't have it both ways.

, I doubt o consulted with them before bringing in Burrows. They gotta figure this shite out.

The head man doesn't have to consult any player on the team about bringing in more talent.

It happens every year and will continue to do so. No one is owed anything.

JB was a 3rd string grad transfer. Not a RS FR who will be playing meaningful snaps. Different circumstances.

This is premature talk but it would be disastrous if Burrow declared early for the draft.

Man that would be a nightmare scenario. It really hurts when you don't sign a freshman qb in a class.

People leaving early is a huge problem in this program.

Jerrard Randall
Stephen Rivers
Hayden Rettig
Anthony Jenning
Brandon Harris

Which of these QB's that transferred from LSU made you lose sleep down the road? There's also a pretty good list of those that stayed that I personally didn't lose sleep after they graduated.

hope they are neck and neck because that would mean Brennan made a huge jump in development like I hoped he would.

Or they both are meh

I dislike Ed as much as anyone, but I can’t blame this on him. I don’t think anyone reallybthought LN would do anything more than run special packages this year

It's dumb to transfer unless you're no longer a "fit". By the time you transfer and sit a year, you would have been playing at the previous school.

Why? They were probably told yesterday the starting QB was Burrow.

They can't evaluate things after practice, at night or on an off day? Like I said, missing practice doesn't really help their chances of playing unless they have already made their minds up and are leaving.

Narcisse is going JUCO most likely.

Or he could ride out one more season here at a real shot at starting if he prepares and betters himself.

After all, we did just put the next Tom Brady in the NFL

I wasnt endorsing the move. I was just pointing out what possible route Narcisse could take. Several people expressing the thought that McMillan should transfer because he could graduate transfer out and Narcisse should stay. Narcisse can Juco transfer out and play next four years somewhere. It also gives him a place to sharpen his rusty skills before moving to a better spot at a D1.

I saw elsewhere that Narcisse is going to CC and McMillian just flat out quit.

Not if he shines in the moments given. He has more of an opportunity to do so than any other qb.. it’s better than simply being the backup if you have his type of skillset.

These moments can earn you a spot. It’s about making the most of your opportunities when you get them and leaving no doubt.

Being on the field in those key moments and having success can make everyone feel more comfortable handing over the full-time reigns to him.. it erases most of the doubt.

Just my opinion though.
