Just got a text that said "Both are done". So it seems the mystery is over, and they will both be transferring. Will update with more when I get it.

Seems right. You don’t just skip or miss practice.

This is why I said it’s strange both guys would skip practice to mull over their options. They must have made the decision to be out.

Wish they could talk one into staying.

No after Burrow it’s nothing. If Brennan takes any meaningful snaps this year then it will get ugly

If MB is above them on the depth chart then he must look more ready than the other two.

This doesn’t mean that Brennan is ahead of the other two on the depth chart. I know Brennan’s dad said earlier in the summer that they would be fine if Brennan redshirted this year.

Good luck to both guys. They don’t deserve any grief over their decisions. They want to play and it won’t happen at LSU in the near future.

The days of QBs sitting 2-3 years are long gone

If that was the plan, then he wasn’t above either of them on the depth chart.

Whenever you sign two QBs in a class it’s inevitable one is going to transfer out

Except when one stays 5 full years, and doesn’t start full time until the 5th year and wins a National Championship. Then plays 8 seasons as a journeyman backup in the NFL and sets a club record for most passing yards in a game (behind a HOF QB).

See Flynn, Matt.

This is premature talk but it would be disastrous if Burrow declared early for the draft.

Wow no one saw this coming. O has done a hell of a sales job to keep it going this long.

He did not come here to ride the pine

LN was definitely going to play this year. Why do y'all keep on saying that he wasn't going to play? As with most new generation QBs, he didn't want to have to compete. It's just the new norm.

Sources tell WDSU the two players are taking some time to evaluate their futures with the program.

Is NOW really the time to do that? Almost like forefitting the QB race

And if programs catered to that mindset, then everyone is but a single injury away from failure.

I give neither luck. You’re either a tiger or you are not. You leave because you didn’t get your way, then you were always here for you and you alone.

If Narcisse wants to leave, its either due to Ed completely mishandling the situation or he believes he's being mistreated. I have to believe its the former.

I dislike Ed as much as anyone, but I can’t blame this on him. I don’t think anyone reallybthought LN would do anything more than run special packages this year.

Find a place where you have better shot of getting on the field. Now thats a novel idea

I have always wanted what is best for the player. I wish him well with a lot of success.
I hope, if he has decided to leave that the coaching staff will help him find a good destination.

Isn't the 2019 commit from Alabama a dual threat QB?

Funny seeing so many people saying he should wait it out and he's affraid to compete. The guy that is listed as number 1 right now did the same exact thing to get to LSU. They transfer because they are seeking better opportunities to start sooner. No reason for LN to be dragged along for 3 more years and when there was never a real opportunity. The depth chart was set 3 months ago and no "competition" was going to change that.

If JB is dud, we're fcked and O wrote his check. I know he has to make a choice that decides his future as well, but it could get ugly if JB struggles and doesn't live up to the Heisman hype. I haven't been impressed as I thought I would be with the little we've had a chance to see away from and Urban Meyer system. Time will tell. Hopefully everyone gets what they want in the end and LSU has another championship somehow this year.

So being a backup Qb for a P5 SEC scool and getting meaningful snaps isn't good enough? He would be 1 injury away being in field. If he'd rather go sit at Juco and MAYBE get to be a starter at a new schoolthen no love lost but I don't think it's best for him. I think he's getting some biased bad advice.
