They can't evaluate things after practice, at night or on an off day? Like I said, missing practice doesn't really help their chances of playing unless they have already made their minds up and are leaving.

McMillian was probably processed/told to find opportunity elsewhere. Unless an absolute catastrophe happened, he was never going to see any real pt.

Narcisse likely got his feelings hurt over not starting or possibly he just saw the writing on the wall. He was going to be a “special situation” player at best at LSU and decided he wanted to go somewhere to be “the guy”.

Pretty much. CC makes the most sense for LN so he can play this Fall and transfer to wherever the best depth chart outlook is come Spring. McMillan just told them he's transferring and isn't coming back so he can do some shopping around as to where he is going. Had Kiffin not just landed a transfer QB I'd have thought FAU would be a good place to watch. LaTech may be another, but I'm just spitballing here.

So LN to CC and then to Auburn?

Two QBs on the depth chart? Has that ever happened before?

It’s awesome to slough off as many chestless fans as possible. Good luck and enjoy your new team, whomever you choose! (it’ll probably be bama, since your mind seems weak)

Not if he shines in the moments given. He has more of an opportunity to do so than any other qb.. it’s better than simply being the backup if you have his type of skillset. These moments can earn you a spot. It’s about making the most of your opportunities when you get them and leaving no doubt. Being on the field in those key moments and having success can make everyone feel more comfortable handing over the full-time reigns to him.. it erases most of the doubt. Just my opinion though.

I would agree with you normally in this situation. The problem is, I don’t think LN is a good passer and I doubt there was any way he was going to be the starting QB even if Burrow got injured. Brennan would probably have bee brought in in that scenario to finish out the season as the starting QB with LN still getting his situational pt. It is what it is but from what I have read, seen, and been told, that seems to be the consensus. He was never going to get throwing opportunities.

If a guy gets so upset about not being named the starter in his redshirt freshman year when he hasn't played organized football in close to 3 years due to injuries, he's not mentally strong enough to lead the team anyway.

He’ll never see the field there either. They have their QBs pretty much set for the next 3 years.

If McMillan is looking to transfer, I don't necessarily blame him. Narcisse is a damn redshirt freshman though. Assuming Burrow starts for two years, he'd be one of two guys primed to be the starter as a junior. Or in a best case scenario, Burrow leaves after this year and he's in that same scenario as a sophomore. Matt Flynn didn't start until his fricking REDSHIRT SENIOR year. Worked out pretty well for him. Not to mention Narcisse is a guy who could see himself on the field in special packages even if not the starter.

Very premature and knee jerk reaction on his part IMO. Burrow could get hurt at any time and your opportunity could present itself. It's not like Brennan is Steve Young behind Montana out there and he's the clear odd man out for the future.

Would you have given that same advice to JB a few months ago? He did the same that after being pushed to third place on OSU's Depth chart. Can't have it both ways.

Burrow had an equally talented younger guy pass him up.

LN is still just a freshman (Sr) who would potentially be in big moments this season.. more so than just garbage time.

To me it’s the perfect situation for him to pass up Brennan given the opportunity.

Of course I’m naturally selfish and want him to stay. LSU has been good to him honoring his offer and committed to patience with rehab and he’s the only qb guaranteed playing time according to some other report?

The wildcard factor to me is if Burrow does well enough to merit a decent NFL grade, does he go pro. It’s not like he came to LSU originally and feels obligated to return for a Senior season. People dismiss this idea because he hasn’t played much prior and is in a new offense, but it’s still always a possibility. We’ve seen our fair share of juniors going pro, even some who shouldn’t have. If that happened and Narcisse shined on the field then I fully believe he has the edge.

I really like to see Narcisse just give it one more season. His first freshman (rs) and just see how it goes playing here, even in limited roles. If Burrow returns then go juco next season if you are that desperate to play immediately. If he leaves the you’ll know soon enough if you are the starter heading into the next season. Either scenario he’s going the juco route unless he has a team to go and sit at.

Either way he is allowed to do what he feels is best. It would just be nice to use this season to evaluate how he’d look at LSU. Even in sample sizes.

I get if he goes juco now he could potentially start somewhere else, but it’s never a given and he’d still only be a sophomore so a program might might feel the need to insert him into a starting role.

It would be nice to see more talented guys stick it out and earn it.

Your about to get a lot of "he's doing what's best for him and his family" which seems to be a generic excuse when players transfer. I believe that in some cases but situations like this I thinks it's not wanting to compete.

We live in a different world these days.

LN leaving as a RS freshman shows immaturity and lack of a strong family support system.

Me, me, me.

Listening to Matt Flynn comment on it today with Hester was refreshing. He said if he mentioned transferring to his dad when he was at LSU his dad woulda told him he wasn’t going anywhere and that he needed to work harder.

Narcisse wants to be a P5 starting QB. Nobody thinks Burrow will be leaving after this year. That doesn’t mean he won’t be a good QB for us, it’s just unlikely that he impresses NFL scouts that much with just one year of real pt.

That means LN would be fighting Brennan for the starting slot in 2 years. He may see that there is no way he is beating out Brennan or fears that Orgeron will just bring in another transfer (something I think is very likely if Burrow is successful and Brennan doesn’t develop any better).

Look at this hypocrite activity our fans are spilling. Players can't think of themselves and do what they want because a selfish fan who's only worried about his team's depth chart will call the player selfish.

Move on the players are moving on. Focus on the guys you wanted to start and be second on the depth chart since you might have been one ragging these same players leaving anyway. They can do what they want just like coaches pack up anytime they want, i.e. Jimbo Fisher, Nick Saban ect.

What does this even mean? So not agreeing with someone is automatically thinking they owe you something?? Of course they don't owe us anything but that doesn't mean we can't disagree/discuss their decisions.
