My thoughts on why the SEC has a hard on for LSU & Kiffin.

This pro player bullshite has already been broached by other SEC universities and the SEC did not flip out with insane threats to boot those schools from the conference.

Tennessee is still pissed he left them.
Ole Miss is pissed that he left them.
Alabama (even though they won't admit it) is pissed Kiffin isn't their coach.

They were OK with him at Ole Miss because they knew he would always have a ceiling there.

They all know Kiffin at LSU is an 800lb Gorilla with a chainsaw for a penis and will do anything to slow us down.

All that means SEC is controlled by biased few who run it and it should end. New leadership is needed and every decision maker must be elected by members.

His ceiling is a Saban run at Bama. And his floor is 1 championship and done.

I agree with that. Moscona mentioned today that the expulsion thing was pushed by a few people who were basically ignorant to the situation and jumped the gun. Pretty much that woman from Tennessee and maybe a couple others.

I’m sure Sankey wasn’t a happy camper but the expulsion stuff didn’t come from him I don’t think. I don’t even know if he has the power to even bring that up.

Absolute horrible leadership from the presidents and Sankey.

There's a lot more to this fight than Kiffin and football rules. Politics, money, equity...etc. Kiffin is just the tip of the iceberg.

I don’t care if it came from him or not, he’s ultimately responsible for that group. I don’t think they could run a HOA, much less an athletic conference. They want self governance? What a nightmare scenario.

I 100% agree. It’s shocking to me how this expulsion talk ever got out. You would think there would be some cooler heads or some checks and balances from Sankey.

Correct

He left ole miss in a fashion the calendar dictated, but people hated, and now everyone is gunning for him

It’s just fanning the flames. We are gonna go for 2 up a lot many times this year in SEC play

Oh, I think we offended some people

It started when the governor got involved, and we fired Kelly and Woodward.
Then, we went and nuked a conference member's dream season by hiring Kiffin away from Ole Miss just before the playoffs started.
Then we rehired Will Wade, who was somewhere next to Dillinger on the public enemy list.

Basically, the conference has said

And LSU has replied

The reason is the SEC main office is nothing but bama fans. Saban is gone and they know Kiffen is going to own them and the rest of the SEC for the next decade and the only way to stop him is to get him suspended or fired ant way they can.

I have gone on record to say this whole thing felt like some presidents were responding to headlines without any real knowledge of the facts...

IMO... there two things going on here either of which should be grounds for dismissal for Sankey and anyone else instigating this nonsense:

1) Sankey's testimony on the stand concerning 5 for 5 and not being able to describe the difference between an amateur and a professional athlete ( yes I know this is actually 2 different issues... )

2) Not simply getting on the phone to discuss any "issues" before going nuclear and dragging any dirty laundry out onto the national stage...

The last of these leads me to believe it was done in an effort to embarrass, discredit and damage LSU..

They need to move the Headquarters to a more neutral location and revamp with uncompromised and unbiased leadership.

Destin.

They hold most of their conference meetings there and it is equidistant to several SEC schools.

..but that would mean those entrenched Bama fan employees would have to move or be let go, and that shite ain't happening.

They have always said it's centrally located (just like the SECBB tourney in Hoover) but now the SECCG in Atlanta is no longer central to all SEC schools, but they aren't moving it.

That reason was ALWAYS bullshi.

An all time great quote. Wish I could find the audio. I wanna say it was said by a caller into a show during the 2007 season.
