Yeah I read your analysis. It was laughable.
LSU dropped the Lbs into the deep middle while also spying Ehlinger. This allowed them to keep him somewhat contained on the ground, and forced him to make nearly perfect throws between them and the safeties. He did just that and he deserves credit for it.
Had LSU blitzed all night and ehlinger rushed for 150+, you’d still be bitching about the scheme, and you’d still be wrong.

I think so, Texas scored on every drive in the second half, it seemed like guys were out of position or they are coached to be in dumb positions.

Agreed, but my criticism is real. I dont want him run out of town, but at least be in the Top 10 or Top 20 at the very least.
LSU’s defense has been top 10 in S&P+ every year Aranda has been here. They’ve finished outside the top 20 in scoring once, and they finished 26th.
So, what is it you’re bitching about again?

I’m starting to question whether or not you even watched the game. Did you see how many missed tackles LSU had? Here’s a newsflash for you, you don’t miss that many by being out of position.

Again, did we watch the same game?

You're proving my low IQ post right at least.

This.
It also bears repeating that TWO LSU defenders were within 3 inches of knocking down one TD pass, and Fulton stumbled on another. Absent those 2 plays, the score would’ve been 45-24.

Top 10 at least as we were in the past on a consistent basis.
Expecting that every year is unrealistic, the last time we finished top 10 in back to back years was 2005-2006. We weren't top 10 in 2007 when we won the National Title. In Aranda's 3 years at LSU
2016 : 5th ppg 10th in yards
2017 : 14th and 12th
2018 26 and 26
so his worst year was still top 20% and that year we finished #6, so sorry, i don't think your criticism is a not very good one.

There are ways to contain the qb with pressure, twist contain ect. Usually you spy closer to the qb and when you get an open lane you attack /make a play on him. These guys put themselves out of the play, I dont know why it would be laughable to have a critique of putting 2 players in the middle of the field with eyes on qb that mad no influence plays. The whole point of offensive football strategy is to get numbers and if you have 2 guys out of the play on defense you have lost already IMO.

We couldnt stop A&M when it counted. We need to be able to get a stop when we need it to close out a game. And we couldnt.
For the money, this isnt a top tier defense. Should be , but it isnt. This is not an indictment, just a criticism. I dont understand why all the protection of Aranda. He needs to be held to a standard to....thats all it is. Our defense is plain and simply not as good as 30-40 other defenses...and for 2.5 it should be as good or better.

Orgeron publicly disagreed with you.

We did if the refs don't frick up. Regardless, you've now shifted the goal posts top one drive.

If they spied closer to the QB they would have left more room for the receivers to operate between them and the safeties. This would have made it even easier for Ehlinger.
That’s a genius suggestion.

So your analysis is to put them closer to the LOS leaving the intermediate to deep middle even more open.
Solid work.

Unless he really steps up, I think Kary Vincent may be unplayable. He hasn't ever really tackled and his coverage hasn't been great. He has many physical skills such as speed, but I'm not sure he has football instincts that let him capitalize on it. I think coaching has failed him in some respect as well. Our nickelback has been a weakness for awhile. Dave needs to get it solved.

Anyone with any sort of football knowledge saw how badly Aranda was outschemed against Texas.
Herman countered the shite out of Aranda and it worked repeatedly. That should not happen. Thankfully Texas’ RB can’t catch a cold.

Literally every metric disagrees with you, unless you’re making this declaration after 1 game. So, there’s that.
