The argument can be made, but Crews does it all. If you had to build a stereotypical baseball player he fits the bill.

I’m with you. I had the Sunday game penciled in, but now I got to figure out how to get out there tomorrow for some Skenes action.

He actually made a really good point that Skenes is potentially a once in generation player and seeing him in person is worth missing a day of work.

Mighty high praise for a guy who has done it once against western michigan.

Especially when we recently had the treat of seeing aaron nola knock dicks in the dirt for 3 years, and he is now an ace in the major leagues and has been so.

Which is why I said potentially. You don’t get guys that are 6’6 with his ability on the mound and overall athleticism every year.

Aaron Nola was 10 years ago. Kinda my point.

Well so much for great pitching weather that was forecasted 3-4 days ago.
60 degrees and 15 mph gusts at game time now.
Austin weather is GD mystery

We are 4 games in. Let's stick to that line for now and enjoy how this goes.

This is Dylan's third season. It's not premature to include him in GOAT discussions.

I enjoyed his first two and am excited for '23.

Your reply is just as ridiculous. Joe Burrow is not the greatest athlete ever at LSU. Maybe the best player.
Look up Athlete in the Dictionary before you shite on someone else.

Dylan is already top 5 lsu baseball player of all time… national freshman of the year, sec player of the year. 2x all American and pre season golden spikes winner in year 3. He’s that guy

I truly believe Crews is the best player to ever put on an LSU jersey. He’s that good.

Not sure Crews is the best to put on a LSU baseball jersey, not even an LSU jersey in general.

That's not a knock on Crews, but have some perspective!

Never got to see Peever but have heard the stories from some Guys that played with him/against/watched him over the years and wish I could have seen it. Might not be a popular opinion but IMO a dominant pitching performance is one of the most exciting things to watch in sports.

My thing was he only pitched that one season like Skenes will and this was recognized:
“He was elected to LSU's Athletic Hall of Fame in 2011.[2] He has also been a candidate for the National College Baseball Hall of Fame.[6]”

I don't know why some come into threads like this and talk shite.

I can see the excitement to see Skenes. Big, tall, 99 mph fastball, excellent control on several offspeed pitches... dude could be special. Could be a legit MLB ace, and soon.

That's why he left Air Force, and why they're not trying to use his bat too (which is supposed to be excellent btw).
