McElroy and Cubelic on WJOX continue to rag and diminish LSU's chances in 2023

Really strange . From April to early August, they were very high, complimentary and optimistic about LSU. In the last few weeks its one "I'm hearing from Baton Rouge"..... secondary isn't very good, LSU doesn't know how to use Harold Perkins,Daniels is a up and down. "Three losses would be a good season."
Maybe they are still pouting about LSU beating Alabama and Auburn last year. Just odd how they've turned on a dime in a short period on LSU.

Who gives two fricks what other people say about LSU before the season. Let's see what happens on Sunday.

Secondary may be a concern, but I seriously doubt they don’t know how to use Perkins.
Seemed pretty clear that they do.
I’m not worried about Daniels. Year 2 in the offense and a full offseason should show pretty good improvement.
Seems like they watched a bad practice

let them rag while they delude themselves into thinking they're going somewhere with Milroe as their starter

Ignore all media pundits. They don't know any more than anyone else.
Play the games, then we'll know.

I think it’s pretty easy to see where we could have 3 losses and I wouldn’t even consider that a disappointment, just the lower end of expectations. Still some decent holes on the squad and question marks.
We have the pieces which can overcome these holes which is why a very big season is also possible.

Matt House knows exactly what he wants to do with Perkins.

I don't blame any media person for being skittish about LSU. They were high on LSU after the season because of how much better we performed over expectations.
When this season approaches, they start to look a little closer and LSU really grinded out a ton of wins last year. We got down in most games and had to come back, that's not a recipe for sustained success.
So LSU in 2023 will go one of two ways:
1) they will improve on last season and go from grinding out tough wins to putting people away and have that 11-1, 10-2 type year. or
2) They will revert to the mean and lose some of those games they grinded out last year for and 8-4 type year.
I and most LSU fans think that scenario 1 is more likely because we realize just how far along this team is compared to where we were at this time last year. But its not an "awful take" or anything for someone who isn't fully plugged into the program to look at our results from last year and say "wait a minute, these guys may not be quite as good as their record says they were."

I don’t think anything these guys say can diminish our chances for a good season.
The outcome will be determined by how well our team plays compared to our opponent; not by what talk shows says.

dumb given last year. He's moving into a different role, but I'm fairly certain they are going to move him around on important downs. This should be a strength and, at worst, they put him on the edge and let him go.

Daniels is a up and down
This definitely is possible. In fact, I think it's probable. It's the only thing we've seen from Daniels. for Daniels, it isn't about being super accurate. It's about him being able to get the ball out of his hands. He can miss some throws and still be a guy that gives us a chance to win it all if he can consistently get the ball out and only run when the opportunity is right. He will have a huge year if he's solved that problem.

McElroy is generally pretty complimentary to LSU. I understand where he went to school but that aside, he’s usually pretty fair.

They saw moscona’s clip about the secondary and it’s now their talking point because they really don’t know and have nothing else to talk about

Our secondary not being good is most definitely not something we all know. There are some questions sure but a ton of talent. I personally look for it to be our breakout unit of the year. Really good pieces there.
