This is the play where Burns had to chase down the Bama ball carrier at the 11 yard line after a 65 yard catch and run...Yes, he got beat on the play but he never gave up chasing down the ball, and Bama ended up getting a FG versus a TD.

Showed a lot of heart there...

One of the more underrated plays for sure.

Excellent point, Poultry Boy. Brian Kelly’s comments on it were funny. Something about he better make that tackle since he blew the coverage .

He was the reason for the play though. Lol

Those always seem to matter. Does anyone remember Delpit doing similar against Auburn in 2019?

Saw that last night for the first time, due to it's timing vs the Astros game.

He's not supposed to catch him. Top end speed not enough.

Endurance did.

Yes he was, he tripped when making the cut in the coverage and fell behind.

Sure glad he didn't give up and throw his hands in the air

True.
But his mistake gave up points, but his hustle saved 4 points.
Forgiveness is earned.

Should've never left the state during his recruitment. Glad he made it home.

Should have never pulled his scholarship and told him to wait.

That play for sure and the overall good solid tackling the whole defense did on the night... sure they missed a few but remember Alabama has good athletes as well.
The whole LSU team has responded to this coaching staff, they are fun to watch.

Was it really Jahmyr Gibbs? I didn’t think he was catchable, to hear people talk about him.

we had another player deep, looked like Sage Ryan, who took a LOOONG time to recognize where the ball was and move over to support Burns.
Ryan seemed to have a tough game in the few times I caught his play, although he did strip the ball on the "fumble" called dead by the refs...

"he better make that play. He was supposed to be inside out on that play." BK, with a smile on his face.

It's highlight you show players that let's them know why every single play is important regardless of the impact at the time it happens.

This is all true.

He looked rusty to me, overall. He was beaten badly on the play you mentioned. On another play, he was in zone, in good position, decided to turn his back and ran away from the play. I think he may have had an interception if he keeps his eyes forward on the ball.

It's good to have him back. Hopefull, he will be more comfortable back there soon.

He got Major Burned on that play. He tripped in 1 on 1 man coverage on a zero blitz that was getting home. Had he stayed upright Bryce would've either barely got a first down, sacked or threw it away. Incredible hustle on catching a dude that beat you by 7 yards.
