Recruiting to Baylor had to be difficult being a private Christian college. It's going to be like taking candy from a baby here at LSU.

The road will still go thru South Carolina. Love the freshman class, though. The Williams kid is the next Seimone and the Jersey post player is a good add, but will need some time. Kim will add another big, a point, and a 3-point shooter thru the portal. Next year will be fun!

After watching that, I’m rooting like hell for this girl to accomplish EVERYTHING! She left her family in the Dominican Republic and has all their hopes of getting out of poverty on her shoulders. I can’t imagine that kind of pressure let alone living on my own in HS. Hell I damn near failed out of college cuz I refused to do what I was fully aware was necessary to succeed.

THIS is why NIL is such a necessary thing in college athletics. She will be able to at the very least get them some financial help next year.

1/Point ? Poa/Poole/Velez

Looking at highlights on YT, Velez reminds me a lot of Jose Alvarado (on offense).

Short, stocky, quick/acceleration, motor (pushes tempo/fastbreaks), handles/crossover/shot-separation, finishes driving layups, and has 3pt range.

I didn't see any mid-range jumpers, passes or defensive steals. I also don't know what her %'s are of her FGs & 3pter's as highlights only show the makes. But I came away thinking she could surprise & contribute significantly next season, particularly since there's a point vacancy.

How many scholarships does CKM still have to work with? Would like to play the same schedule over again, just to piss off everybody, but safe to assume there will some major teams brought in to the PMAC next year?

Yep. In the PMAC.

Should probably break this past season's attendance record.

We need a Cardoso-stopper. Height with mass. South Carolina will be tough again. They’re losing a lot, but still have good pieces.

I am thrilled with our success, and our freshman class coming in. I would bet that if you ask Kim Mulkey, she will tell you it's still South Carolina until WE beat them. We have a decent shot at doing that next year. We will likely play them 2 or 3 times next year. Going to be a fun year!

MacMahon could use a few.

Times are changing.

Mulkey can/is recruiting as well or better than Staley and is a better tactician of the game.

I have a feeling LSU is about to go on a run.

ESPN Early Bird 2024 rankings

1. UConn
2. Utah
3. LSU
4. Iowa
5. Indiana
6. UCLA
7. South Carolina
8. Ohio Stat

Del Rosario is going to need to improve her stamina to play fast like KM wants her teams to play. M. Williams is already prepared to play in the sec, IMO.

Look for Sa'maya Smith to gets lots of time inside in 2023-24.

It's a chick that actually looks like a guy playing basketball ball. This is a compliment.

It's a shame basketball and softball overlap. She would be dominant in that too.
