I like the matchup only if our players entering the draft play.

If Daniels, Nabers etc sit out and if any defensive starters sit, it could get ugly.

What if Hartman and Audric Estame also sit out?

I'd take our backup QB vs theirs any day of the week.

That would certainly help, but I haven't seen Hartman on any top 10 QB draft projections. JD's stock has been climbing. Their RB sitting out would be irrelevant with this LSU defense. They are getting gashed no matter who is toting it.

I think Hartman plays with this scenario, Freeman gonna be pressured to beat Kelly at all costs

You sniffing paint again? That's the whole point, we would kill them and have two 10 win seasons back to back. Build momentum for next year. Plus two 8-4 teams played in the ReliaQuest bowl last year. They got a chance.

Notre Dame sucks this year. At least give us a good opponent.

Again, it all depends on who plays or sits out the bowl game.

What's the possibility of LSU vs North Carolina at Tampa?

Lmao what?? Clemson is god awful this year. We would truck them by 4 touchdowns. Clemson isn’t sniffing a New Years Day bowl this season

Clemson beat Notre Dame less than 2 weeks ago.

The game could be interesting depending on who plays and who sits (Daniels, Nabers, Hartman, Alt, Estime,). If a bunch of key players sit, it loses its luster.

They've got a very respectable defense and some elite level cornerbacks. Al Golden has done great things. Their head coach would be one of the worst in the SEC and the offensive staff is hot garbage, but it could be a very entertaining game - high stakes for the coaches.

Plenty of eyeballs watch ND.

Of course they do. They’re pretty much the only college football team with a national fan base.

Maybe I'm wearing some p&g glasses but I don't see JD opting out unless he gets an actual injury in the next two weeks

Nabers might want to play for the school record career receiving yards too

This is a joke right?

If not: We have 0% chance of getting a NY6, just so it's clear.

While being top 12 doesn't guarantee a NY6 spot 75/84 or 89% of teams in the top 12 have made a NY6 bowl. LSU has a pretty good shot at finishing #12.

Oklahoma could throw a clunker @BYU, Ole Miss will have to win the Egg Bowl @Mississippi State who will be 5-6 and fighting for bowl eligibility, Oregon State plays Washington and Oregon, Mizzou could Mizzou, and so on. The committee seems to love LSU as the highest 3 loss team.

It would take several big upsets to get LSU in to New Years Six Bowl. Had LSU not played FSU, it would be a New YEARS Six bowl bud (Thanks Verge).

Looks like probably Reliaquest Bowl in Tampa against ND.

At worst, Gator Bowl against ACC team.

you have to consider the slim likelihood of JD, Nabers, and BTJ playing in this game

I really have a feeling JD would still play. He's the unquestioned leader of the team and I just can't see him sitting on the sideline. Nuss would mix in too though.

Nabers is probably more unlikely.
