With a 24 team playoff, it doesn't make sense to remain in a corrupt conference. GEAUX independent, schedule a moderate level schedule and walk into the playoffs healthy.

Notre Dame and us could redevelop the mini-rivalry we once had; aside from that, I see no positives. Join the 10 or the 12.

There’s 15 SEC teams that most likely would not play LSU as an independent. But I get what you’re saying.

They should join the big 10 and give it a foothold in the south causing the SEC to fold.
frick those cheating arse bastards and what they did he last 25 years to fix conf chsmpions

LSU could pull a FEW schools to the BIG 12 and make a great conference.
Pull Arky, Mizzou, TAMU and OU. That’s a big enough brand better than ACC, Pack 12snd others

That would be an economic disaster for LSU.

Rivalry? They've played 12 times in 57 years. They have never played more than 4 times in any 10-year span.

SEC is the premier conference… why leave unless we’re forced out? Ride this train as long as the conference is on top

Bad enough you capitalized and spelt go wrong the first time you double down and did it again.

Because we get singled out at every turn. Its BS. We play against a stacked deck and everyone sees it.

The only way to leave the conference is if the BIG 10 calls.

That would be a severe blow to the SEC and realistically the only way LSU could swing it.

We could schedule a home and home with ND and one of the Texas schools. Alternate with ACC schools and Big 12 for home and home games (Clemson/NC/Duke) (Ok st/TCU/Texas Tech). Schedule two local schools and a Big 10 (24) team West and East.

We could have great games with more diversity. I am tired of playing A$M and R Kansas every year.

On a side note. I absolutely HATE when GEAUX is used in ANY way other than GEAUX TIGERS. It’s exclusive to that way only. Carry on

MINI-rivalry. We had the same thing with A&M before they joined the conference. 84, 85, and 86 and then playing three times from 97-98? Yeah we do that with every OOC opponent.

You dont get cash for program quality. You get more money for superior TV markets. The Big10 kicks everyones arse in tv contracts because their markets are huge even though 2/3 of their teams are trash.

Man opponents almost don’t even matter at this point go play the ACC and Big 12 run that gambit and you are in. It’s 24 teams lol
