I hear that word at least a thousand times being said by young black men every time I go to my gym.

I officiate football, I can't tell you how many times I hear it during a game.

All kids from Slidell, white and black, talk like that, for better or worse.

Absolutely retarded for them to try and make a story out of this. A harmless clip of some girl in a dorm with friends using slang and clearly not trying to insult or hurt anyone. These naggers need to get a life.

ruin her life over that

The damage is already done by her.. she will be judged in the court of public opinion, which is probably a much worse consequence than getting kicked off a tennis team (hardly ruining someone's life)...

Personally, I wouldn't kick her off the team, but there would be some consequence for her action..

It's called having standards for your program and your university.

That's NOT a racial slur. It's slang talk and actually lets a black person of you will, know they are cool around blacks and not racist. Let's people know you got "flavor" so to speak lol. This is "Racial Karenism" being blamed on this girl for a word that is used by millions around the world and it is understood as slang not racial or racist.

These words like

Bro
Baw
N$%*a(key letter being the "a")
Brah
Pimp
Dude
Ho
G

And the list goes on

Replace any word in her sentence with a word above. It all means the same. My sons uses the word "n***a" with some of his white friends when he is playing Xbox

If they do this, they need to take action against any athlete (regardless of skin color) who is heard using that word on social media.

FYI: we’d lose most of the football team

You cant possibly be that dumb... Tell your son to go say that around a group of random black people... I'm pretty sure the reaction wouldn't be what you expect...

you cant co-opt a racial slur, to give you the ability to use it..

It’s not a racial slur. Have some context. Was she using it in a hateful manner or trying to get at someone? No. This woke society needs to go.

Hopefully white people will stop embracing that music and broken English/Ebonics when they realize they aren’t allowed to truly embrace it and mimic it

This

And I will add, the line that it is not racist because they are black is nonsense.

Why? It’s a combination of sounds made by a person’s vocal chords and mouth. It doesn’t mean anything except for the intent meant by the speaker.

She obviously had no ill intent.

Imagine being such a weak human being that this bothers you.

and as a responsible dad you correct him? No?

I guess you won't complain when he says it in front of the wrong people one day and gets booted from school or a job.

Umm, you oughta take your own advice... I'm hardly bothered by it, it's just a simple opinion on the topic...

Indeed!! If you dont like it...dont read it!!! We have forgotten the right of free speech. I hear plenty of Democratic attacks on those of opposing views and none of them has issued an apology....and shouldn't!!

I don’t think you really understand the meaning of free speech in the 1st amendment
