The week of the game, I kept simulating the game (Sugar Bowl) on EA Sports NCAA Football . LSU kept winning over and over and over again . Even though we were 6 point dogs , I was like , “uh, I think we got this”.

I have to admit, when we fumbled inside the 5 a few plays later I thought “ but we came so far!

We had an OU grad in our office. Someone rigged up a speaker in her office, above the ceiling tiles, and would play the LSU fight song at random during the day.

A friend who was a BIG TAF money-type was having breakfast with Saban & 2 other TAF'ers game day breakfast at the team hotel. Saban made a comment: " they have no idea what they're getting ready to get hit with".

Dude, I did the same thing!!! 15 minute quarters and all!

We did I again at our party right before kick off and same result. I told my dad we were going to win!

I also painted a football field in my back yard equipped with LSU and OU end zones and the sugar bowl logo at mid field. Took me two full days by me and my cousins had a blast playing on it!

IIRC, Alley Broussard was interviewed about 4 months later during Spring practice and was asked to comment about that run.

“I won’t get caught from behind” (or something to that effect).

In the big thick LSU Football book you can buy...My sister can be seen cheering for an LSU TD in that game.

And my Uncle is in there somewhere. He was a Cheerleader in 1958 and as I have mentioned several times over the years on Tigerdroppings...My Dad's father, my Grandfather, came up with the most unique cheer in College Football...

"HOT BOUDIN..."

Since 1984, all I can hear is "Cold Shoot, Shoot!"

I’m in a cab going into Nola from airport. Shared it with 2 arrogant OU fans. “Do yall feel lucky to be here?” one asks me.

May his arrogance RIP forever.

I remember the Bob Stoops halftime interview, him being pissy about what the interviewer said to him, something about scoring defenses.....

Without even rewatching it I am almost certain the call was, “Lionel Turner did not come in the snap, it was a delayed blitz” I can still hear it, what a day
