i guess travel and hotel stays is what kills the profit for baseball
Last year baseball spent $2,131,037 on travel. Women’s basketball spent $1,525,272.

We need to see the exact breakdown by sport of revenue share that LSU dishes out.
This isn't good for LSU

Also, Jay needs to come out and tell the public how much of the percentage that he is seeking.

Why are we left in the dark about how these funds are divided?
...because it isn't good for LSU and there's no real necessity for you to know.

5 sec road series (min 2 nights in hotel), probably a tourney in dallas, and 10+ days in omaha....sounds like baseball spends less per player by a huge margin

LSU doesn’t want people to know they don’t have it like that

anyone know how much WBB generates in season ticket sales compared to baseball?
Baseball: $3,881,636
WBB: $1,605,992

There is no real reason for LSU to do this. In all reality revenue share should be broken down on the %s of revenue each sports team actually brings in. And they can look at it as pure revenue splits or operating income splits. Revenue share is only one part of the equation, if Johnson says he needs another million, then it's on the AD department to go and secure a million in NIL deals from sponsors/boosters/etc. Revenue Share does not equal NIL

You should go protest in the street with a sign

Why? So fans can argue about it on the internet?
Posted on 4/6/26 at 3:16 pm to Covingtontiger77
Is this taxpayer money? If not, then there seems to be ZERO benefit to LSU releasing this to the public if they don't have to. If nothing else, it could create a competitive disadvantage. For example, Let's say LSU pays its QB $250k in rev share funds. If Florida knows that information, they could use it as negotiating leverage against LSU to try to put together a better offer...all for what? So, LSU fans can know and journalist can have information to write useless clickbait articles?
It's ridiculous how much fans think they are "entitled" to information. As a fan all you are entitled to is a reserved seat in the stadium if you purchase a ticket. If you don't like that the program doesn't keep you in the loop on everything, then don't be a fan. Losing customers (i.e. fans) may be a risk the program runs by not providing information, but that doesn't mean the fans are entitled to shite.
Taxpayer money? Yes, the taxpayers are entitled to know how their money is being spent.
Non-taxpayer money? F-off with your request

Isn’t the lawsuit to obtain amounts paid to each player?
I wouldn’t be surprised if there is an expense line item in the FY26 financials with the total by sport so the op has likely just jumped the gun with this little tantrum.

The argument is that LSU is a public university, which receives taxpayer funds, so every penny that the university spends should be public, which would extend to revenue share to individual players. Even though that money isn’t coming from taxpayer funds.
I’m pretty sure that’s how the law was written years ago. The law needs to change with the times. Georgia Tech has a similar suit against them as well.

Outside of postseason/NCAA revenues, not much. As both get $0 credited from the SEC/ESPN media deal.
NCAA Revenues (payments for hosting postseason and postseason reimbursements)
Baseball: $782,044
WBB: $246,421
Conference Distributions:
Baseball: $48,300
WBB: $108,039
eta: The NCAA distribution for WBB should increase over the next few years as the new Tournament credits start adding up.
