It would be a loss for both of something happened, but LSU definitely comes out the loser.

So then we would get to go the Indy route like ND and have a complete farce of a schedule and be in the playoffs every single year.

There is zero chance that LSU is kicked out of the SEC. I’m not even sure there’s a legal avenue to do it. But if there were, it would have to be done by a vote of member schools. And as much as they may hate LSU, that would set the terrifying precedent that they could also be kicked out sometime in the future, and that just ain’t happening.

This doesn’t even account for all the money they would lose by not having the LSU brand. All tv contracts would have to be renegotiated, schedules changed. And a shite ton of money in legal fees to fight what would probably be a years’ long battle.

I’m not reading that article, but anybody who believes this is even a remote possibility is living in fantasy land.

Dude do you realize how much value we bring to the SEC? Other fan bases clown on us but when it comes down to it, we are probably the most “SEC” school out there. Name a school with a bigger reputation for football on Saturday. A stadium more known. The tradition at LSU in both football and baseball. What fan base does it just means more than LSU. The hostile crazy crowds that the SEC loves to boast, who gives them that reputation. There is a reason Lane came here, because at LSU it is different and it does just mean more.

Which means nothing because USA Today is a left wing hack organization.
