Used to live at Dawson Park off Picardy. Slam dunk NIL opportunity.

Yeah I don’t know what we’re doing right now. Both pickups are pretty bad so far. I guess it’s fine if they are death peaces but neither has peaked my interest. Reirreguardless, I hope we can get some SEC guys out of the portal.
I would definitely take advice from this guy.

I trust Jay as well, but I also know that every good coach thinks “I can fix him” and a lot of times they can’t

A lot of good men think they can fix the hot ones. It’s a precarious path littered with exploded mines.

For starters, irregardless is not a word. I guess adding Re in front cancels out the ir, and thus makes it correct?

Maybe it's a word when you add the u??

He’s not on their 2026 roster so hard to find stats, but I did see that he had 13 bombs in 186ABs, so 1 HR for every 14.3 ABs this year.

It becomes less hard if you check the team stats page. That’s more useful information because it provides better context - how did teammates perform under the same level of competition.

you'd like to think Jay and company did their homework before offering this guy after leaving a team with a month to go in the season

Let’s hope their evaluation is better than the majority of last years portal evaluations.

No kidding that OBP is trash…and at Texas State. Hoping for the best..-albeit hope is not a strategy

He only allowed himself to be hit by a pitch ONCE. If he allowed himself to be HBP at the same rate as the most team
oriented player in Texas State (Jaquae Stewart), Park’s OBP rises to a team leading .418.

Jay used to love HBP. That could be one of the fixes Park needs. He also needs to strike out less (harder to fix).

You realize Texas St plays in the Sun Belt and the Sun Belt sent 5 teams to the NCAAT right (including Texas St)? That's more than the Big 10 and one fewer than the Big 12

Not trash but one of biggest pieces of the offseason is finding someone that can actually play SS

He's possibly the best SS in the portal with legit MLB draft rep. What do you want?

People on here just see Texas State and automatically assume he won’t be any good in the SEC. Which definitely could be true but I’ll wait and give him a chance before I say bad addition.

I will note, the only downfall of this pickup is that he was kicked off the team in mid April and Texas state started playing better. Could be a potential locker room cancer

Maybe just me, but I like guys who tell others to GFT. I'm sure Jay got whatever the story was, and if Jay likes Park, I'm good with the pickup.

Why are we going to get a ss from Texas state , no offense but hitting 300 at TX state is going to be maybe 200 in sec play.

So the only players that can be successful in the SEC are ones that have already played SEC ball?
