Auburn will overpay for him.

No surprise... the RB rotations were terrible. Forced Cain and Williams reps when Diggs & Jackson were the better backs.

Was our best back all year
Don't understand why we played Williams over him so much

Love Williams but he was not good this year

Williams is the best in pass protection

just so i understand, its ok for us to send a starting rb to the portal but Heard (backup ol) better not test the protal on his own. how dare him to do that without us telling him we don't want him. it cuts both ways. Posters wanting Heard to sit on bench and wait.

Well Diggs was dealing with an injury and Jackson still needed work on pass blocking. He'll definitely get his share of reps next season.

Noah Cain had 27 snaps in SEC play.

Not carries. Snaps.

This makes it sound like he was asked to leave which would be wild if true.

Maybe he was talking about getting hurt though

Better to have Diggs move on and have the young studs like Jackson, Holly and Durham take the ball and run with it, so to speak.

This better be the case. Jackson is a difference maker

Can’t fault the man for trying to get a check one last time before the NFL. Same thing Judkins is doing.

Combined for only 92 carries and Diggs missed 3 games, so it would have been even less

One is a senior with a limited ceiling and the other just finished his freshman season and could be great but doesn't want to wait/earn his turn.

the point is we are ok with running off any player but act like a jilted lover when someone we want voluntarily leaves.
this is why you get as much nil as you can up front.

Aside from blocking on passing downs, what do we gain giving carries to Williams instead of Jackson, Holly and Durham?
At some point, a RB needs to step up and dominate the game. Diggs, Williams and Cain were "serviceable" by committee but were never game breakers.
When was the last time an LSU RB took the handoff with us expecting a possible 40+ yard burst to the endzone?

That certainly make it seem like Kelly told him it was time to move on versus it being his decision to leave.
