Occam's Razor tells us that he probably didn't do the other important things RBs need to do besides running the ball. Because it was very obvious he had the most talent in that regard. RBs have tons of important jobs, can't whiff in pass pro, forget assignments, have to know all the audibles, etc.
Williams is amazing at all the other stuff.

That rule is not being enforced this year after the West Virginia court ruling. And anyway, Diggs has already graduated (Notre Dame)
