Didn't see this one coming, but hopefully Jackson and Durham can take over and make his departure moot.

Both Durham and Jackson are much better natural runners and athletes.

Diggs was a very solid back. With Josh Williams back to help with pass protection I think it will be fine.

I'd rather have 4 backs than 8. That shite was outrageous.

Jackson was a frosh . They just don’t play much usually and it’s related to pass protection and if nothing else, it saves wear and tear

Why is Josh Williams coming back for a 6th year? Covid? He should have gone pro last season bc he is getting less opportunities.

This is crazy, he had the majority of the playing time this season. Most likely he will have the same next season as well. I am just assuming this is about $, unless I am missing something here.

Jackson, Williams and Durham will be a very good trio next year with Holly getting some carries in blow outs

He was by far the more consistent back we had this season. We were behind most of the bowl game. Some of his blocks were textbook hits.

Quick story, in 2006 the Colts needed a RB, the coaching staff wanted the starting QB’s input. He had a list and film, of the RB’s their support staff were looking at. The QB picked the LSU RB, his reasoning, all ran about the same, caught the ball out the backfield well. But the LSU protected his QB better than any of the backs. The LSU back was the 30th pick in the 1st round. The LSU back Joseph Addai, the QB, Peyton Manning.

Williams is just another average RB not a dominating RB with game breaking potential. Stop the RB by committee with 5 RBs sharing 20 carries a game.

I'm fine with that, Really thankful for diggs and his contribution but it's time to let these younger more talented guys get their shot. Would much rather see him in the portal than Jackson, Holly or Duhram.
