Just don't play the player and let the players sue the SEC and NCAA on many levels
Well thats whats currently happening and we still got sued by the SEC, not any other school. Another school is currently getting sued by a player who won in court BECAUSE they arent playing them.

The female athlete being on the stand is interesting, since none of the pro contract complications come into that case

But makes sense that the whole case is supposed to be about 5 for 5

Part of the legal strategy against the federal TRO should be that the association is unevenly and selectively enforcing its bylaws against members in different manners.
ChatGPT's thoughts (and I haven't run this case down...):
First, it can support an arbitrariness challenge under Alabama association law. That is unusually relevant because Alabama has precedent specifically involving athletic associations. In Gulf South Conference v. Boyd, the Alabama Supreme Court recognized the general rule of judicial noninterference with voluntary associations, but expressly held that courts can intervene where association action results from “fraud, lack of jurisdiction, collusion, arbitrariness,” or violates public policy.
Later Alabama cases repeatedly reaffirmed that principle. The burden is ordinarily heavy: arbitrariness must be shown by clear and convincing evidence when asking a court to interfere with an athletic association's internal affairs.
And Scaffidi is almost tailor-made for the issue because the Alabama Supreme Court specifically discussed uniform application of athletic eligibility rules. It emphasized that the association's rule had been “uniformly applied to all member schools and transfer students”; the only exceptions involved students compelled to transfer by federal court orders, which the court found were not similarly situated.

Yes, he can't openly recruit them. You can contact agents though. I'm sure Lane knows that by now.

This is what LSU will SUCCESSFULLY argue against in federal court.
Punishing LSU and suing LSU makes lsu in legal jeopardy for not following a court order

It’s exactly why they rolled them all into one lawsuit.
To show that the SEC’s “hard line” isn’t actually about pro contracts. They’re just choosing who they want to allow back based on, well, nothing.

If LSU does this it also opens them up to the lawsuits with the players so no. frick the SEC.

Good, and keep Sankey's bitch-arse there the whole time with no recesses.
Give him a dixie cup of water and a slice of white Bunny bread if he's hungry.

Not according to Sankey's earlier testimony. He said it wasn't about them being professionals. It was about leaving and coming back. He tied it all together himself.

Let's be real, Ohio State/Michigan/Oregon/USC do not want LSU in that conference lol.
Actually I think the Big 10 would see it as a perfect kill shot of the SEC… to start taking their schools

It is absolutely worth it if the "rules" are not equally applied to all member institutions
Exactly. That is the real fight here as far as LSU is concerned. They see all these other SEC schools acquiring players through various TROs but they can’t even talk about it without it being WW3. You can’t operate as an institution competitively in that scenario.

do we envision Sankey joining Kiffin at the Supper Club this evening for dinner?

I was on a jury in Judge Jordan’s court room a few weeks ago
He told us we would be there as long as it took but the latest was about 7pm. This is much different than a trial starting on a Monday so I’d expect him to go much later

I got stuck on a jury trial and didnt get let out until 3am about a year ago.
