The female athlete being on the stand is interesting, since none of the pro contract complications come into that case

They're doing the two females first because they have games tonight. They're on the soccer team. Both of them are from the class of 22 and are only eligible to play because of this tro

Another guy who attended minicamp but not preseason. Basically if you were only good enough to get a minicamp invite you can come back to college according to the SEC but if you were good enough to make a 90-man preseason roster and then get cut without ever playing a preseason snap you are the equivalent of Micah Parsons and Puka Nacua and letting you come back would be the bane and end of college athletics as we know it

My wife has a Cricut and a T-shirt press. I just asked her if she could make/print that shirt. She said, “the logo on the top would be difficult, but the big part would be pretty easy”.

With USC and OU both signing guys during this hearing, I think the other schools know how this case is going to go.

It really makes the Federal suit against LSU look even dumber now. I wonder if Sankey gets Tarmacked in Birmingham or if the jet leaves BR without him.

The dam will break the moment these players are granted their injunction.

No pro contract again

What is a contract?

NFL-NFLPA CBA expressly distinguishes a “Player Contract” from participation in a rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. For tryout participants, the CBA goes out of its way to say that participation does not create an “NFL Player Contract.”

The SEC knew or should have known this, but then only uses the term "contract" in their rule. So if Cole Hutson or anyone else that tried out for an NFL minicamp or an Exhibit 10 so much as signed a participation waiver, and especially if they received a per diem or any benefit from the professional team, they should be ineligible under the SEC Rule

They came in this morning on a fractional jet. It left about 10 minutes after they got off. The SEC doesn't have its own plane.

Well thats whats currently happening and we still got sued by the SEC, not any other school. Another school is currently getting sued by a player who won in court BECAUSE they arent playing them.

And apparently another SEC school DURING THE HEARING signed a kicker who was in an nfl camp.

But I’m sure Sankey will say that one is different.

If LSU was a bigger market I could see that but they're not. They have high viewership ratings because of the brand, not because their actual Louisiana market is big. Athletically it would help them. There's definitely positives pulling in a Southern team but there's also tons of challenges to that. I just don't see it happening especially considering the politics in Big 10. There's a reason it's top heavy and so controlled by the money schools at the top. They don't want to invite more billionaire swamp rats to the table. You couldn't ask for a bigger polar opposite fit to slide into the Big 10. It just ain't happening.

Sankey on the stand literally said he doesnt know what constitutes a pro and the current players made their choice by leaving college. shite it used to be just entering the draft was the line in the sand. They cant make a rule after the fact and then go off of that rule.

Yes, he can't openly recruit them. You can contact agents though. I'm sure Lane knows that by now.
so, there's a rule that you can cite that states this?
