As I posted yesterday he was part of the legal team that back in Feb 2025 won a record jury award in LA of $411 million to a single plaintiff.
What is strange is he is the 18th JDC DA but has a thriving private practice which I assume limits him to civil cases.

Why can’t the league make an exception for players from the 22 class that have used 4 years of eligibility?

Once it was determined that being a student athlete is a job the whole argument became about labor law. All the cases are being viewed through that scope.
There’s a situation where under a CBA it would be illegal for state schools in Texas and Alabama to participate. That would be freakin hilarious.

I think a congressional bill is a better solution than a CBA. I don’t know of a third remedy available.
My issue with the legislative action is that I don’t think the legislators really understand the assignment. Also if Congress is going to give any regulative body almost unchecked authority of college sports, I’m not sure the NCAA is deserving of that role. I’d like the legislation be something that blows up how college sports are managed and by whom.

No, because in 2023 the rule hadn’t been enacted. But even through your inability to communicate your thoughts properly, I think I still know what you’re trying to say.
Again, no we won’t be having this conversation next year about the class of 2023. Because those players were afforded the ability to have the rule enacted BEFORE they have to make to decide to enter the draft or not. This year, 2026 is the fifth year for only one class in the history of the world and that’s 2022. And they just happen to be the class that got the shaft by the NCAA enacted the new rule in their 5th year but AFTER the deadline to declare.
This isn’t a hard thing to understand.
