The SEC and commissioner Greg Sankey are not allowed, at least for now, to punish schools if they play a college football player who returns to campus after signing a contract with an NFL team this summer, according to an order signed Friday by a Louisiana state judge.

"If Sankey shows up, I'd like to hear his argument," said Tony Clayton, one of the attorneys representing a group of 42 total athletes listed in the case. "What gives him the right to anoint himself God and take these constitutional rights from these kids?"

Yes, I was NOT particularly impressed with his comments yesterday, but I'll chalk it up to him running around or being super busy. I've heard nothing but great things about him as an attorney

Interestingly enough, the onus is now on the NCAA to punish the SEC. I didnt even consider that.

I'm also a bit surprised at how sassy the Texas trial group is being on Twitter, but obviously they feel like they have a strong case- and are loving the exposure lol

Yes, it was a great interview

He was laying it down, they are going to play college football where they choose to play without consequence

That makes it more interesting.

I wish they could just get this all settled. I'm ready for some football, regardless.

How many holding calls can 1 team get in 1 game??

How about targeting calls on all the NFL players on our roster?
