Leavitt leads SEC in passing yards. He's the real deal.

I think Lane is the real deal and we'll see that with every QB that comes through here for the next decade.

As long as he doesn’t turn it over, the offense will be very hard to stop

Was coming here to post this. Sam has improved since the beginning of the year and we can all thank Lane for that

Doesn't he also lead the nation in INT?

Sam deserves credit for his own progression as well

It's not simply that it's just Lane

Receivers with sure hands have contributed. Some near impossible catches made yesterday.

John Mateer is trying hard to overtake Sam with his 3 picks yesterday against Kentucky. He's up to 7. Sam has 8.

He's slowly realizing he doesn't have to do everything on his own to win games. Have trust in those around and the process.

Half of the INTs came against Tech and McNeese. They technically are turnovers but those are more learning experiences than game changing problems to me.

He had another that hit the receiver in the hands against Clemson and the one against Ole Miss was at the end of the game on 4th down at the goal line where you have to throw it no matter what.

Would I like to see less of those numbers? Absolutely, but I think he’s had 2 really bad turnovers, and both of them were against Kentucky in a game I thought he played pretty well in overall.

His actual "turnover worthy plays" as charted by multiple outlets are very very low.

He has a lot of talent! He's with the right coaches to take him to the next level!

when you run the ball better as an offense, its easier to pass. But he is settling in.

Unfortunately we are always waiting for the other shoe to drop with him. If anyone can fix that it’s our coaches.

Minus his turnover issues (some his fault and some not), he's having his best season as a starter.

Completion percentage up from 61.7% to 70.1%
Yards per attempt up from 8.2 to 8.5
QB rating up from 150.2 to 155.8
Already more rushing TDs from 5 to 7
