that is my first thought but it would be unfair to assume that since we don't know how much it hurts him...so I will defer on that...

My personal opinion, I think it is mostly mental at this point.

Have you ever broken a rib?

Your body stops behaving the way you want. The pain that comes when moving wrong make your body stop doing the things it normally does and forces it to compensate in ways that aren't natural. Your body ends up "protecting" itself. It's really hard to overcome.

It's probably why he can throw the medium routes fine...but the ones where he needs to really get his body on it fail. You have to heal and, as you mentioned, your brain, or nervous system, or whatever has to stop protecting itself.

Just want to say it’s ridiculous that you had to clarify this. How do people not realize this distinction?

the problem is that the update yesterday was sort of poorly done in the way that it led stupid people think that there was no abdominal issue at all.

He said he should have been good to go for Ole Miss. After South Carolina, it'll change to "it should be good for Vanderbilt, and so on.

That’s what he said for the Ole Miss game.

Kelly is guaranteeing himself a one-way ticket to unemployment if he keeps Nussmeier as the starter throughout the next 5 games.

What an absolute fricking idiot.

An ab strain can still be a tear, and Kelly’s dumbass just said it’s not a core injury. How the frick is an ab strain not a core injury?

Everything that comes out, especially in light of his Ole Miss performance indicates how moronic it was for him to suit up vs Southeastern.

An ab strain is when you pull one of the front stomach muscles, usually not too bad and heals pretty quick if not re-aggravated.

So let's have him play through it.

Based upon that statement I am even more convinced that Nuss should have rested the entire week of the Southeastern game. I said that at the time.

It's basically Gavin Guidry but instead of shutting him down, BK is gonna make him play all year and go 8-4 because of it

Everyone said that…the entire handling of this thing has been weird.

It’s not like opposing coaches can’t tell the dude is extremely limited by watching tape so lying about it for whatever reason just makes everyone look incompetent.

I truly hope that is the case and I really hope that he gets back to playing the way he is capable of. I dont necessarily agree that BK's comments are the full truth.

I dont know that I agree with it being a mental thing either. He is not an underclassman, He has been in Major College Football for years and his father is an NFL OC. If any QB could work out of mental issues at the QB position, it would be this kid.
