It’s so depressing for the outlook of humanity that people just jump on the bandwagon and farm out their cognition to society. Anyone with a brain can see that Lane’s pre-Ole Miss departures are no different than any other coach and that 2 other coaches are being applauded for doing what Lane offered to do for Ole Miss.
Simpson is still a great QB but as you pointed out, god damn does he need some help. By the second half Georgia just blitzed and pinned their ears back all game. Any QB is going to start seeing ghosts in those circumstances.
Yea the play call was the crime, not going for it.
Tyree Adams was good before he got hurt. Davis in less sure of. We do need to hit the portal.

Without looking my guess at the 8 is: Stingley, Fournette, Russell Shepard, Davon Godchaux, Anthony Johnson, Reuben Randle, Terrance Toliver, and Harlem Berry.
True but I thought he also said he turned back after this happened so that he could get a police escort. So that would be before the escort. You’re free not to believe him though.
Don’t forget the success Caleb Downs has had. Tough to compete with that.
And they still think Lane is ridiculous for offering to coach Ole Miss in the playoffs lololol
No one said the defense was great lol. I said Ed O won a natty here. The job is easy. That’s why it’s a top job.
Lmao wow. Denying reality is an interesting move.
Dude Ed fricking Orgeron not only won a title but put together the greatest team this sport has ever seen in that job. It’s the easiest P5 coaching job to win at in the country.

Making coaching decisions based on him “chasing skirts” and hitting on booster family members is rational?
Coaches and players have left programs long before Lane and they will continue to do so long after he’s gone. He’s not even the only coach to do the very same thing this playoff. Everyone just has a bone to pick with him and not Sumrall.
And these nut jobs have the balls to criticize him for leaving.
Have to imagine the monumental loss to Louisville was at least some of the motivation?

I don’t see either of those places as more desirable, but that’s just me. Saban said that Lane will go where he can get the best players. Lane is on the record saying Saban won so much primarily because he got the best players. It is easier to recruit players at LSU given the lack of in state competition. Perhaps only Ohio State has it easier. There’s nothing inherently more appealing about Bama or Texas and Lane isn’t leaving for more money.

There’s a decent podcast he did with Theo Von too, although not as football centric. I’m a big believer in “this time is different” syndrome. But Lane really does seem changed. I think he would leave us for an NFL coaching job if offered, but he’d have to be successful to get there, so I wouldn’t be mad.
I can’t believe someone said this out loud lol. The AD precludes Lane from offering to do what Sumrall is doing and it’s Lane’s fault?
Just look at the way no one says anything about Sumrall leaving. That tells you everything you need to know.
