Is there anything to suggest that returning production is a strong indicator of production? That seems a heavy stretch especially in the year of the portal.
It’s insane how high our talent level has been relative to the dominant programs of that time and yet we have not competed year in and year out.

All three pitchers are at a cross roads of putting up or shutting up. There’s a lot of motivation for the starters to improve. Also Evans shut down UCLA pretty well in Omaha last year. The talent has always been there; they just need to execute.

I believe Guidry and Curiel hinted at him having an injury that he was playing through. Love me some Milam. Let’s go.
I find myself pulling for them but often times I’ll switch for an underdog. This past weekend I was pulling for Moo State. A lot harder to root for Bama though. The sad thing is they’re all going to beat each other up on the one side of the bracket this year so you can almost wait until the championship if you’re an SEC fan.
I think the field issue is overplayed with Georgia this year. I think some marginal homers would go away on a legit field, but they still mash and some of those balls absolutely fly over the wall. They’re my pick to win but if the bats get cold I think they’re done. It’s all about who stays hot. We’ll see.
UGA’s park is made for home runs. It’s unrealistic to see 30 at the box, but it could happen at Foley given how short the fences are.
And the other side of the bracket has some of the lowest competition. Could see UNC beating Bama but I don’t think WVU or Troy have the horses.

If Oklahoma and Bama don’t royally choke today. Competition is at an all time high in the conference and likely rising until some regulatory change.

This is true. Happy to see these guys do it. Have a feeling the success was related to the level of talent we were facing but hope they prove me wrong tonight.
0-1. 2 weeks ago I asked myself the same question about the UGA and UF series. Then we went 0-6. We will but up 8-4 on Oklahoma at some point around the 5th and then Schmidt will hit a 100 pitch count, and Jay will start going to the pen. We will then get shelled and lose 11-8.
Except that he was talking about the offense and the offense has played well for the last month.
We’re giving up at least 2 this inning aren’t we?

Yea this is what happen when you combine the shitty bullpen with bad luck. So many “at-‘em” balls this year I’ve lost track and then key injuries.
Just straight up laziness there. Move the feet and that’s an easy block. Could’ve saved a run.
It really feels like this team is paying back karmic debt for last season when we came through so many times.
