I mean a lot of people don’t really support Ukraine. Does Koval ignore that reality?

Does she demand that her teammates agree with her? Her coaches? The entire fanbase?

Ukraine leadership has stolen billions in US aid that was dedicated to their defense. Should US players hold that against her?

There’s tons of examples of Ukrainian involvement in dirty schemes to steal US taxpayer money prior to the war. Should her teammates judge her based on that?

I’m all for women equality. Kate needs to pick up a rifle and defend a post. Less talking, more action.

This Ukrainian broad seems emotional because her Dad is in the war and lacks the understanding of what is really happening

Yeah, I'm sure she just needs some dude in the US to clarify things for her

Let’s not forget Ukraine still has actual Nazis as well. Not just made up ones.

Ukraine isn’t innocent.

Anna was in BR for like a week before Kate left.

That can be enough time if she is vocal supporter of Russia’s war effort. It actually makes it seem more likely.

I don't think Kate was here. She hadn't been in any of the clips of the team working out all summer.

Had she been in BR recently just before leaving the team? The comment I responded to seemed to imply that they were around each other for a week, but I could have misinterpreted where Kate actually was when she officially left the team.

She's gone and has been replaced with a winner from Russia. Maybe she should enlist with the Ukrainian Nazi army. They can use all the help they can get. She couldn't handle being on a winning team. LOSER!

Yeah, Kim has never one the big one.

She’s consistently had the best players in the transfer portal era but fails to produce the best teams, outside of when Angel Reese saved her. She gets out coached routinely in-game. I honestly didn’t think was perceived as a hot take.

Calmy making the decision and leaving I can respect.

But invoking the conflict and Ukrainian colors on a press release and framing it as a personal sacrifice in order to force the NCAA into allowing a transfer is too much.

Real sacrifice is the Ukrainians fighting and dying and holding their country together. Once again, I ask if she is so patriotic and cares so deeply why is she in the US playing WBB when young people, some younger than her are making real sacrifices.

A PR stunt invoking those sacrifices so you can play WBB somewhere else is distasteful.

Her own words are

quote:

More than anything, I hope I am given the opportunity to compete at another school during the upcoming 2026-27 basketball season," Koval said.

quote:

More than anything

Not peace. Not Ukrainian sovereignty, not the killing to stop, not even her father's safety.

This will be a PR campaign aimed at all of the smooth brained out there to bleat like sheep to get her a transfer and LSU will take stray rounds because it is the correct groupthink currently.

Nope, we must learn to live with the consequences of our decisions, principled or not
