I think the portal rankings matter, but having your offensive line practice on blocking sleds and coaching them up to be nasty matters more.
We’re going to justify saying whoever we get at QB is better than the ones we didn’t because that’s what fans do. In reality, we don’t know squat and will change our opinions after each game.

People that use the word retarded aren’t too bright either

Did my post state "LSU's storied venue" or just "storied venue", bubba?

Agree with you. Just implying schools may slow down or approach facility upgrades differently since the game has changed and the primary (and most logical) motivator is money.
Has the arms race to upgrade facilities, increase stadium capacity, etc. come to a crawl?

I'm not saying folding chairs next to steel lockers, but has the focus shifted from luring top talent in with fancy pods and having the biggest, most tricked-out facilities to just ponying up the $$$?
Football ops upgrades were initially intended to wow the top blue chippers from high school, but now it seems as if more $$$ to play in a 60,000 seat stadium beats out playing in a storied venue, tradition, etc. Does this change a school's approach to how they upgrade facilities?

Charissa Thompson says, “and another thing we learned is coaching matters. You need good coaching to win”.
Really? We just learned that?

The war on drugs supposedly started 40 years ago. Finally, someone is ready to do something about it.
Nancy Reagan never got the keys to the military equipment for the “war on drugs”

They just let her have some commercials. 40 years later, somebody is finally doing something about it!

Addition by subtraction

Alabama won a playoff game. Try again.
Turns out OU vs Bama was garbage vs garbage
Bama demolished by Indiana 38-3 and everyone thought Tulane and JMJ did not belong

The group of 5 isn’t the problem.

There is one reason, and only one reason, the university of Mississippi has won more games in the last few years of its unremarkable history and made the CFP for the first time. Lane Kiffin and no other.
Enjoy the ride and brace for 7 to 8 win seasons going forward.

I pull against the rest of the SEC in Bowl games and the CFP. In many cases we compete for recruits so why see other teams succeed on a big stage?
Also, the SEC homer mentality - it just means more, everybody else plays cupcakes, etc. is annoying so it's a nice check.

Well, the University of Mississippi is in the CFP because of one person. Lane.
Since Bama was destroyed before January 2

Who could their top defections be (besides Ryan Williams, I know he said he is staying, but the historic beatdown by Indiana could sway him and others)?
Ole Miss’s winning is not horrible for LSU like most think
Posted by Tdubs7 on 1/1/26 at 11:26 pm
We know Lane has a plan and there is so much portal talent out there, many that are better than players on the Ole Miss roster, and you can bet he has that list all mapped out.
In regard to our offensive coaches still there. $hite! That’s perfect marketing on the biggest stage to all potential prospects. Come to LSU, this is what our offense will do!
