He would have been WR1 if he played for the Saints

You specifically left off when the poster said after Olave and Sheed went down for the season. Saints were scraping the barrel for WRs at that point.

By the time he gets out of prison his playing days will long be over. Heck, he’s likely taken his last snap already.

Oh well, at least he has that nice degree from LSU to fall back on

I think anyone recklessly causing the death of another with a vehicle should get at least 20 years in prison.

Not condoning vehicular negligent homicide, but…

20 years is harsh… max jail time is 5years I think- sometimes decent people can make a tragic split-second mistake, that can be lethal in 2-ton vehicles…

Don’t think it would take 20years to learn your lesson , or be truly contrite.

Why do people assume he’s going to prison?

The kid that was drunk and killed the LSU fan and left the scene just got 3 years probation.

Excellent!

Then you know every case is fact specific and rushing to judgement simply based upon a news article that may or may not properly explain an arrest warrant is not always a great idea. More than that, juries can very unpredictable. If you've done this for a living long enough you've been surprised by a jury verdict, at least once.

Leonard Little was able to have a multi-year career after killing someone driving drunk in 1998.

Jalen Carter still went #6 and saw no charges

Well, he did tell us during his celebrations that he was a killah.

What a waste of talent. Dumbass.

He didn't just make one bad decision, he made several, which were selfish and endangered (and killed) others.
He was speeding, driving in the wrong lane, refusing to yield to on-coming traffic (which had the right of way), did not stop when he cause the crash, turned around and passed the carnage he caused a second time and did not lend aid or even call for help. No doubt the death and accidents were in the news the next day and he still did not report or advise of his role.

No… DOC housing assignments don’t work like that… you could in up in Angola if you got any state time to do… you have to be hell of connected down here to choose where you end up… District judges have no say,.. the decision is DOC’s

Yeah, and Henry Ruggs only got 3-10 years in prison. I wish people like Lacy and Ruggs would go to prison for life, but sadly our lives aren't worth much on the road. I bet he's out soon and probably plays in the NFL at some point if he's good enough

Social media and instant worldwide news didn’t exist in 1998.
