So agreeing He’s innocent until proven guilty by the justice system is disturbing?

Move to China then.

Why do people assume he’s going to prison?

Because
1. He caused the accident
2. He fled the scene
3. He was presumably tracked down by witnesses

Oh, and 4. He got someone killed

He was speeding, driving in the wrong lane, refusing to yield to on-coming traffic (which had the right of way), did not stop when he cause the crash, turned around and passed the carnage he caused a second time and did not lend aid or even call for help

Turned around and passed the carnage huh? Does that make sense to you?

Let's recap what likely happen based on what is being reported and using common sense.
He was speeding, going south on LA 20 passing people up. This is right past the curch where there's a curve and the road is straight where he was doing the passing, but there's a gas station and dollar general right there so a stupid place to pass people, which is why it's a no pass area. A truck going north (opposite of Lacy) swerved to the right to avoid Lacy. He didn't hit anyone. the next vehicle, a Kia, also swerved left to avoid Lacy and hit the Marine who was driving South. I assume Lacy had passed the Marine up and was making the cars going North swerve into oncoming traffic. The truck must have swerved right to avoid Lacy, then got back over into his own lane. The Kia swerved left, but i guess didn't have enough time to get back in their lane and crashed head on with the Marine.
When the crash happened, I would assume Lacy was already well pass the crash and would have been looking at it in his rearview mirror. No where does it say he turned around and headed back North towards the crash, nor would he even be able to right there b/c there's no shoulder. It is highly unlikely he "passed the carnage and just drove away". He likely saw that he caused it in his rearview mirror, and kept driving.

He's 100% a POS for doing this, but the amount of stupidity shown by most here not being able to use basic common sense and reading comprehension is impressive to me.

Driving recklessly and causing someone’s death is horrible

Fleeing the scene is even worse.

Hopefully he’ll have a lot to ponder about his choices while in prison

You don't have to exagerrate things he did on the field. This crime in itself is enough to argue your "point"

You're probably assuming incorrectly. If Lacy was already past the southbound car there wouldn't have been a wreck at all. He had no time to clear the southbound car, slowed or veered to miss the wreck that happened right in front of him in the center line.

Then he decided to drive away instead of stopping to help people whose lives he ended and affected.

Like I said, the LSU kid with connections that was presumably drunk, left the scene and killed a man just got off with 3 years probation.

Which was bullshite and a complete failure of the justice system. Hopefully this case's result won't be.

as the accident occurred in front of his vehicle.

Not necessarily… by definition, two cars going towards one another, one car swerved into other lane TO AVOID COLLISON.. then the swerving car avoids colliding with the onrushing vehicle, they PASS ONE ANOTHER, and the swerving car has a collision in the other lane with another vehicle, AFTER passing the car causing him to swerve… ijs, the collision could’ve easily occurred behind the vehicle causing the swerve/accident.
