Anyone who argued that it was E’s offense is lying to themself. He was about as in charge as the Vice President of the US.

Did it fricking work or not?

I don't know Joe Brady or Jake Peetz and neither do you. Perhaps the person whose job it is to evaluate these hires saw something that gave him confidence it would work.

You seem sensitive on the subject. Just trying to have a discussion. It just seems more likely that Brady was calling the shots and SE was assisting. Which was a great idea.

Has anyone ever disagreed that it was Brady’s offense?

The argument is that E called the plays. It was always Brady’s offense that was installed and I don’t think anyone has ever denied that.

Anyone who watched that special that showed Ensminger in Brady in the booth saw that nearly all communication from the booth came from Brady. Ensminger did little more than say good job.

Plays came from Brady, corrections came from Brady, adjustments came from Brady. Ensminger was nothing more than a figurehead.

I definitely used to argue with the “Burrow didn’t know the WRs names! We were better at the end of the year in 2018!” Crowds

IDK how this has anything to do with one or the other.

Burrow and his wrs definitely developed timing together bw 18 & 19 which would help out our offense

2018 offense & 2019 offensive scheme were not the same

SE: "I searched for spread/RPO experts to build our new offense and found Brady who I thought was the best guy to do it."

tRant: "It's Brady's offense!"

SE: "Right, that's why I told O to hire him."

tRant: "SE it's not your offense!"

SE: "What part of 'I wanted Brady to bring his spread/RPO concepts to LSU' don't you get?"

tRant: "Steve it's not your offense!"

SE: "Son, are you stupid? There's the door."

ENSMINGA CALL DA PLAYS

Probably called the plays like I did as a kid playing NCAA/Madden.

Scroll through, "that looks cool, let's try that" select.

This is for all the people who swore it was Ensminger’s offense.

There was not one person who "swore" it was Ensminger's offense. Ensminger, himself, repeatedly said he brought in Brady to install the spread because there was only so much he could do having never studied it before.

Ensminger and Brady both said the same things over and over. It is the Brady-o-philes who completely ignore all the things that were said, and give 100% of the credit to Brady.

The point is that it was a team of coaches that accomplished that great offense. Brady was the one who brought the most scheme to the table. Ensminger was the one who brought the most game planning to the table. Others surely contributed in ways we'll never know. But it was Ensminger who humbly created the collaborative environment that brought these disparate pieces together. And Brady has repeatedly raved about this very thing.

One would have to question why tf we would have someone else call Brady’s plays when Brady is sitting right there

You can question it, but you can't deny it - not without arguing with Joe Brady, Steve Ensminger and Ed Orgeron. Of course, some might think they know more about it than those guys.

I am not saying it was a good argument.

It was just their argument that we could t run the 2019 offense because Joe didn’t know the playbook.

They couldn’t explain why all our other QBs looked like garbage and why we put Joe under center so much.

This might be true, EXCEPT Joe Brady said it was false.

any qb would get better as the season goes on especially after only a few months in the system...that argument makes sense. With or without Brady our offense would've been much better in 2019 but only with Brady do we have a historical type of offense setting records and winning every award possible.

I really don't get the animosity some have about the whole situation though. It's been said they both called plays...not sure why it matters but some of our fans loved shitting on SE bc every time a play didn't work SE called it I am thankful that SE swallowed his pride, something most coordinators wouldn't do, and sought out help trying to improve our offense. I see no reason why our fans need to shite on him and diminish the job he did.

It's not even up for debate anymore. 2019 was Brady's offense. Brady coached the WRs, oversaw the passing attack in practice, introduced a new playbook, and called a significant amount of plays.

Even Orgeron acknowledged that the offense this past year was different, and said Peetz and Mangas will "bring back the 2019 offense".
