It was my understanding that the offense was implemented by Joe Brady.
This offense is not something Joe Brady invented, he came from the Saints and most likely adapted to the players at LSU.

If you take away Burrow as the QB, then LSU loses a few games in 2019

It was a great combination of a innovative offense and players that allowed LSU to win the national title.

LSU also had a great defense in 2019 and a offense that controlled most games and gave them rest.

WUt? The defense was routinely right back out on the field because the offense scored so fast.

Yep. There were some people that complained that we scored too fast.

No one ever said this was not the Saint’ spread offense Joe Brady was hired to come here and install. It was clearly announced. Only an idiot would call it the Emsminger Offense.

What was debated was who called the plays. I heard them on several occasions say that SE called the plays when the formation was not bunch and not empty backfield. But even then SE told Joe to take when he wanted one of those 2 formations. They did consult on other plays sometimes on 3rd down and in the redzone but by and large sE called about 60% of the plays and then ask Joe to call the others.

I don't think very many people thought it was Ensmingers offense and if they did they just weren't paying attention. Now some say Ensminger called the plays, but he's on record as saying that was collaborative and they shared that fairly equally.

Who the frick was saying this? People were saying E called most of the plays and that Brady brought the Saints concepts to the offense. Including Orgeron.

Bingo. The biggest argument is about who called plays, some people refuse to believe what they've been told.

Another thing for the drama queens to argue.

For all the talk of Miles hiring his BBQ buddies, the O-Ensminger deal is just as bad as anything Miles did. We hired 2 "passing game coordinators" because O wanted to not just keep Ensminger around, but get him paid (he'd have stayed with the TE job), and now we're replacing him, not because he moved on or retired, but because he couldn't run the offense himself.

It is what it is.

uh, yeah

when i kept arguing that Burrow was the real difference maker for 2019, people kept telling me Slinger was running the "brady offense" to end 2018

This is a stupid interpretation. There isn’t a single person who said it was Ensminger’s offense. Joe Brady brought the offense to LSU. The question was who called the plays.

And anyone who questions that doesn’t have a brain

Ensminger was/is an old fart who didn't recruit and was an average play-caller. Brady made the playbook and the game plan and called most if not all of the plays. That should be common knowledge at this point.

There’s more to an offense than just the passing game. Coach Ensminger had a staff which included Joe Brady. He’s the one who found and collaborated with him.

Second hand sources tell me that E called a bulk of the plays with Brady sharing those responsibilities.

The game plan was heavily what Brady brought from the Saints, but to try and discredited E in some effort to claim “I told you so!” Is pretty disingenuous.

E has been a great coach at LSU. He had a lot to do with 2019, but we don’t have nearly the same production without Joe Brady.
