It seems like blood is in the water in and around the LSU program. And that Ed Orgeron is going to have to change the course of the direction of this program to beat this thing, to last.

Because it feels as if his days and his time at LSU are running out. And it feels like the people in power are tired of putting up with a lot of what we’ve seen on the public relations side. The more I continue to dig in and ask questions from people….the more I get back in return that they’ve had enough of Orgeron.

We have to remember and can’t lose sight of the fact that LSU football is a $100 million operation – it is a business at the forefront of the LSU athletics department and institution. It’s the first thing people recognize with LSU.

It’s become overly evident and very clear that Ed Orgeron just doesn’t get it. He’s been told multiple times about the expectations for the position and he can’t execute it. The people that cut the checks and the fundraisers have had enough. They’re over it.

The more that I ask around, the more information I get, the more this stuff is happening…wheels in motion type stuff. Things have to change dramatically, in my opinion, for Ed Orgeron to be in Baton Rouge past this season.

The last 72 hours of his existence at LSU have possibly been the death knell.

The losses and the way the team looks are obviously a massive part of it, but it's also Orgeron's antics and off the field issues. The childish manner in which he comports himself. Over the summer he apparently aggressively confronted a booster at a fishing camp down in Fourchon.

quote:

Guy is down at fishing camp with a group and group see Ed O and his sons. Someone says off the cuff “he better win every game this year.” 10 minutes later, Ed O shows up at their camp asking “Someone got something to say to me?” presumably looking for a fight. Someone recorded this interaction and sent it into the LSU administration.

IMHO, this is the last season of Coach O at LSU, and, I'm not sure that he lasts the whole season.

I don't expect much improvement of the product on the field under his tenure.

O has never been a Woodward guy. Of all the coaches that are now at LSU, who is it that doesn’t seem to fit amongst his peers and/or Woodward hires ?

Now, on top of all the PR issues and Title IX, there’s almost no way O sticks around. Which sucks because the recruiting class had a chance to be special and solid Louisiana recruits will leave and I have to watch LSU be mediocre and Alabama win another NC. Doesn’t make watching college football very fun when the spoilers were laid out in Week 1

That sounds exactly like something Ed would do.

And Jordy said last night coach o tried to fight a booster at some type of hunting/fishing camp. Just burst into their home after thinking they were taking shite about him. Admin has video of this.

so have they “had enough” or are they just pissed that they lost the first game and want to see improvement?

And the off field antics are what have probably sealed his fate. Part of CEO’s appeal was being a relatable, down to earth family man…and that just isn’t what he’s putting out right now. A total series of unforced errors.

And THEN you get to the on field issues…

My only issue with this is that

1) we don't have anyone on staff with HC experience to take over.

2) I don't want someone to Ed O their way into getting the job. I do think this is less of a threat cuz Woodward loves making the big hire.
