but he was probably one of those guys that looked like Devin White did as a freshman in high school.
I vividly remember seeing Devin when he was a freshman and asking the principal "Who's that kid?" I'd seen all the Springhill/North Webster football games up close for 4 consecutive years and had been watching high school football for a very long time. He was built unlike anyone I'd ever seen in high school. It was both amazing and a pleasure to watch him play for 4 years.

How many games will he get over 8 carries?

I love this guy. I hope he goes off big. If he does, we are going to be hard to stop.
Any monster blocking FB/TE walk-on's on the roster?

yes, because the TE is the only one who can block. no one else, just our TE position.
it takes a miserable, utterly alone, bitter individual to wake up at 4:20 am with such a high level of bastard.

As much as I appreciate that video of him running over the first defender, hope he remembers to continue the run because more guys are coming
He will learn not to stop and admire his work. Plenty of time to watch film after.

Got a chance to listen to his presser this morning before work, sounded really good with handling the questions, very articulate.
He's also really young, hopefully we can keep for a while.

He is poised for a break out season.
Posted on 8/9/24 at 10:42 am to Jack Crevalle
For this offense to really excel Kaleb Jackson needs to get the bulk of the carries and Josh Williams should rotate in in relief of him.

And he has good lateral quickness and cuts.
In his TD in the bowl game, twice he pressed the hole and then cut laterally, making someone miss.

ah yes, the 'heat index'!!
dreadful killer of strength and energy. the hidden menace of global warming.
news media hype to raise awareness of the potential killer of mankind.
oh the humanity...

I have a feeling that we will get a heavy dose of Sr RBs this year but KJ is our best RB. I have no doubts.

media is saying when they turn the cameras off, per LSU rule, and they do 11 on 11, he is housing TDs all day. Kid is a friggin .monster and I bet 100% they are going to run the hell out of him vs USC's below average DL.
Yeah that’s awesome. I just worried that he would be a little stiff or less explosive, less flexible. I’m clearly wrong. I simply can’t imagine being 235 and being able to run like I was shot out of a cannon.

Really the first one LSU has had since Guice. That is a guy with the suddenness to make people miss, the power to run over them, and the speed to run away from them.
CEH and Josh Williams were/are terrific all around backs. But they didn't really threaten defenses with breakaway speed. Davis-Price had good power and decent speed. But he wasn't making a ton of guys miss.
While he won't get the touches to equal their stats (mostly because the offensive philosophy has changed) Jackson has the potential to be in that Jeremy Hill, Fournette, Guice category of backs.

I’m a big fan of Jackson playing in the 228-230 range. It will really compliment Kelly’s style of offense and the team structure we have this year. Play Nuss and these WRs and our OL with Jackson will grind you into submission. Play the run and Nuss + receivers have a field day.
This should also allow LSU to control the game clock and help the defense out

I agree on Sloan. He's impressive. Will be a HC at some point down the road.

Yea … “global warming” is hysterical nonsense, I agree. But …. Heat index is not media hype.
Humidity matters A lot. 85% and higher humidity drastically reduces evaporation of sweat from skin and clothes. Your body heats up the sweat on your skin, it stays there, it’s like wearing a blanket while you’re running.
Same 100 degree temp in dry air like Southern California, you wouldn’t even think it’s hot. Fluids evaporate much faster in dry air.
This is freshman chemistry, and direct personal experience in Louisiana and Southern California talking.
