I am very conservative. I just want Landry to stop talking. He is terrible at PR. Put a president in place and stop talking about the LSU job.

Never but you don't get to go on Fox News and pretend you're protecting tax payers money if you say some booster is footing the bills.

Why does he keep implying that tax dollars are paying for coaches’ salaries?
So you know who is paying this buyout? No one else seems to know
Posted on 10/29/25 at 6:01 pm to LSBoosie
I thought the base pay salary was paid directly by LSU which is a state university. The buyout amount is funds raised by private donors that is not state/taxpayer money.

No but I know it’s not the taxpayers

Yes

The guy who wants to give 50Cent millions of actual taxpayer dollars to redevelop real estate in Shreveport is worried about protecting the taxpayer from wasteful use of some rich guys donated money?
Posted on 10/29/25 at 6:07 pm to lsufan0582
TAF pays the coach and will have final say on who is hired. Jeez.

All Landry had to do was maneuver this situation behind the scenes. The constant public charades does LSU football no favors nationally.
All you have to do is sit down, have a coke and smile, and STFU and see what happens. But we both know you aren’t going to do that.

Political theater. Only 11% of LSU's total revenue comes from the state.
Posted on 10/29/25 at 6:20 pm to lsufan0582
This jack wagon is again claiming he is looking out for taxpayers when he knows no taxpayer money is going to the salaries of these coaches.

LSU football affects to whole state economically. Plus it's a state school.
Try again.

Get ready for the bargain deal.

LSU pays its coaches' salaries through self-generated athletic department funds and private donations, not state education funds. While a portion of the base salary comes from public funds, the majority of compensation, including bonuses and supplemental pay, is derived from the athletic department's revenue and private sources like donors and corporate sponsors.
Public and private funds: A coach's salary at LSU, a public university, comes from a combination of sources. Part of the salary comes from public funds, but the majority of the large compensation packages are funded by the athletic department's self-generated revenue and private donations.

He’s so stupid.
No taxpayer money.
Private money.
He’s an embarrassment.
