Not crushed. I would imagine most LSU fans feel it would be cool to land Lane, but he is not the only coach in the world. LSU will be fine either way.

His contract is structured to be paid out 800k per month over the next 6 years. If he wants a lump sum now, he has to take less money. It’s the same way the cash option in the lottery works.
