2 of these 4 QBs will transfer anyway.....fill the room and let attrition take place.
This is now the strategy in college football, especially at the QB position.

just keep replacing the defectors with more transfers.

There’s obviously not going to be four qb’s here once fall starts. Seems Nuss to the portal is all but certain.

This is a weird situation all together. Not sure what to think of it
I don’t know how good this kid really is
I don’t know what kind of kid this kid really is
I don’t know why he would join LSU’s qb room
But hey I’m always down for some competition.

He was excellent as a freshman. ASU has been a bit of a mess since last year off the field, buts he’s really talented and has shown the ability to play at a high level.
I also don’t think it’s a complete coincidence that the first presser given by Denbrock last week went into detail about preferring dual threat QBs and the importance of having that in this offense and this signing. He’s going to get a legit chance at the job along with Brennan, Walker, and Nuss.

The kid has started for three years. He didn’t come to LSU to hold a clipboard. If he gets here for the spring, with Kelly and Denbrock preferring dual threat QB’s, you can see where this is headed. Actually feel bad for Brennan.

We have 3 unknowns at QB
Anyone that doesn’t like this move is what’s wrong with lsu football mentality the past 2 years
Bama signs 5 star WRs every year and still brought in burton from Georgia
May the best man win

I’m a big Brennan fan and I want him to succeed but this take is f*cking retarded. The guy has shown some amazing flashes and has probably started triple the games Brennan has. Howard is coming off injury. Brennan is coming off injury. Nuss has no experience. It’s a smart move to get a guy like this

You can't enroll at LSU in early March.
You either can’t read or are ignorant about graduate transfer rules

He will easily beat out Brennan
You realize Brennan was on pace for all time per game average records when he was hurt in 2020, right?

I think this dude is the guy and if he’s not it means someone else beat him out and that’s awesome too
Posted on 3/6/22 at 5:52 pm to 304tiger
Brennan is the guy, but he has injury issues. Then we have a proven back up. But, it the guy comes in and can play let’s geaux.

I think Coach Kelly and Sloan, knows more football than any poster, so I say if he is good enough for them he is good enough for me. ????

Burned some tape on him
Athletic thrower, but accuracy is a concern. Throws with touch. Strong arm can push ball down field
Best in short game on things like slants & backfield routes. Has a wildness to him because of a release point that isn’t consistent. Base is prone to be off center on other occasions.
Super threat running the football. Long strider, covers ground quickly. At ASU almost predominantly Zone read & RPO from the looks off it. Would be LSU’s most athletic runner from the QB spot since Herb Tyler

I think LSU’s new regime of coaches could put him in spots to be successful, and he is immediately the front runner to start G1 next year at LSU
Posted on 3/6/22 at 5:59 pm to 304tiger
We clearly didn’t have enough QBs on scholarship last year, and one didn’t want to play when given the chance
That’s all I got
That’s all I got

I think it’s a good move.
Brennan is still the favorite to start, but he has had injuries.
Daniel’s would be a good change of pace QB and could do some interesting things in red zone.
Nuss has no experience, is quite wild and is half way out the door.
Howard will RS.

We don’t have a dual threat qb on the roster and this is why he was brought in. Just another option and tool for BK.
Posted on 3/6/22 at 6:04 pm to 304tiger
The video of his teammates showed more about the culture of their team vs the character of the kid.

Jayden may thrive under the new coaches at LSU.
I just say let the best man win.
Also what some fail to realize is, taking on a transfer just makes too much sense. You have three qbs on your roster rn. All of which can transfer with no penalty (highly unlikely walker would obviously). Now you have 4 and one CANT transfer. It protects your team. It just makes too much sense to take a transfer qb imo. Regardless of who’s projected to be the best at this point.
