And thats his choice. The bottom line is we haven't seen enough from Brennan to know he's the guy and turn down other qbs that want to transfer in. He's got the talent but can he stay healthy?

Daniels hasn't shown anything since his freshman year either. He may turn out to be better for the new offense and I'll root for whoever is in there.

I'm only saying it's a bit screwed up to recruit Brennan back to then say "oh actually we want a mobile qb

If he can’t throw accurately he will be of little use.

he was here under normal circumstances I wouldn't make a peep. He left the transfer portal because the team needed him.

And he can still hit the portal whenever he feels it’s necessary. We aren’t holding the kid hostage or screwing him over. Coaches don’t owe him the starting job. It’s up to Myles whether he wants to compete for it or not.

In the world of NIL, this is a business decision; pure and simple. For those playing College Football in the big leagues, the reality of the new world order forces the youngest of players to the reality of being part of a business sooner for most, but Brennan has been to this rodeo a few times. This should not shock or appall him at all. How he reacts to this will be watched by potential NFL employers.

Daniels wasn't available at that time.

It is entirely possible the staff was content with Brennan as the (likely) starter...until another option unexpectedly became available.

After spring of 2018, even though none of the 3 QBs were particularly impressive, there were no real rumblings of LSU searching for a grad transfer. Then, a backup QB at OSU, who had a relationship with a coach on LSU's staff, decided he wanted to transfer. LSU was content with what they had in-house...until another option became available.

So you think by asking Brennan to come back was an offer for him to start when Brian Kelly has never seen Brennan take 1 snap in practice after being out for 2 years?
Got it.

I was unaware that Brian Kelly had already given the starting job to Brennan. Especially since BK has never seen any of the QBs take a single snap and Brennan has done less in the last 20 games than any of the other QBs.
