Dont forget he's the first guy in the history of the combine to refuse the medical exam. This guy is covered in red flags and youve got JD who is arguably similar or better talent with none of the concerns. Which one are you choosing to be the face of your franchise?

Jayden has the perfect blend of arm, leg, and head talent. Plus the stable demeanor needed.

The only question I have is throwing in tight windows when his NFL WR’s don’t have an advantage. I think it’s possible Nabors & Thomas will be close to Chase/Jefferson.

Where do you see those odds? I see Jayden at +750 to be picked #1 overall.

If it werent for Dallas Turner’s dirty hit, LSU is back in the SECCG.

False! Bama had turned the corner against LSU before that hit. LSU’s three possessions before that hit were punt, interception, punt, and Bama had a two touchdown lead.

Remember, Dallas Turner did not get to Daniels by cheating, he got there by beating Will Campbell one on one.

This reminds me of the PP7 no interception call against Bama. LSU fans are probably correct that it was a bad call. What they miss is that it would not have mattered. JJ, and LSU’s offense, was not driving for the winning TD against Bama.

While both Heisman QBs are mobile, recent video breakdowns I saw showed they have one defining difference when it comes to their feet:

Caleb is a scrambler (extends plays behind the line successfully throwing completions at some angles only Mahomes can)..

...and Jayden is a runner (rarely extends plays to throw accurately short-to-medium, but makes dynamic large gains when he does take off, but often puts his frail frame in harm's way).

I can see a team that intends to invest tens of mllions in a franchise QB thinking Jayden might be a riskier selection, despite being the more poised pocket passer with better deep ball accuracy.

For Jayden sake I sure hope not. The bears are a dumpster fire. He deserves to go number 1 but that team kills careers.

Only because their QBs have sucked which will make any team suck. They have stockpiled so many high draft picks lately and they will get more for Fields. They are set up quite nicely in my opinion. Its not like they don't already have some nice pieces too. That defense is nasty. I actually think that would be one of the better places to land factoring in all the pieces they will be able to bring in via the draft and their cap situation is as good as any at 80 million under the cap, they will be able to bring in some good FA pieces.

Nah CW will go first overall. May not be to bears though. They might work a trade back with Washington and pickup JD5.
PFF doesn’t even have Daniels going until late first. Wtf? Does a Bama fan run that site?

Not really. He did in the 2022 season but this past season he rarely took big hits where he put himself in harm's way

Yeah this talk about him taking all these huge hits is a bit overblown. Usually if he took a big hit, it was necessary. He's really good at avoiding hits, sliding, finding the sidelines, etc. and I expect him to do this in the NFL.

I saw the Dan Orlovsky clip too, but that doesn’t really mean much.

Dan made some good points. The best was look at the WR that were wide open vs PAC defenses vs the SEC. Daniels has to throw some dimes. Now he was throwing to 2 top 15 WR but coverages in SEC are light years more difficult than PAC 12.

That being said Williams still goes 1. I think Jayden is better off with Klingsbury in DC anyhow.

I remember the time when he tried to hurdle someone at the line of scrimmage 10 yards away from a first down.

Pump the brakes lol. Jarrett Lee was in. Had the ball at own 40ish. Down 6. This was his comeback tour after 2008….but they ruled “out of bounds”.

Jayden's comment from combine interview:

If he could be an animal for 24 hours, what would he be?

“A Lion.”

Really Jayden!

It's starting to seem like Williams is trying to dictate a lot of circumstances that normally would be out of his control. The latest is not having the medical exams.

I'm not sure if he's trying to get drafted by a better team, or he's hiding something big.

I would like to point you to the rest of my post where I state multiple times that I am not saying he is mahommes.

Mahommes also scrambles nearly every pass. Which isn’t an issue. He also keeps his eyes down field the entire time. He’s not a guy that came into the league able to dissect NFL defenses and still doesn’t need to dissect complex coverages on a lot of plays, because of the west coast offense Reid runs which is a lot more about reading sides and giving defined reads against defensive lineups for the QB and a lot of motion to get scheme open passes. Again not a dig at Mahomes, that’s just how offenses operate now

Yes again I understand they are different players. I’m talking about the play style, which are exactly as the post I replied to described

You would’ve made these same arguments against Mahommes and Allen coming out of college without the benefit of hindsight to know they are elite NFL players. The point is the league doesn’t care that these players are not advanced system passers from college, that’s not what the game is anymore. You bet on the upside and talent and build an offense around their strengths

That would be a successful QB pick. Kyler Murray’s issues have been injury based. He’s been a successful NFL starter. That also fits my point about the NFL adapting the offenses for out of structure QBs.

If the caleb Williams rumors are true and he's requesting ownership in team then I wouldn't sign him as an UDFA.

And Jayden Daniels is Lamar Jackson. So yeah I'd take a 2 time MVP freak show #1 who doesn't have character red flags
