Ok downvote 10. Good coach but to say always should have been is crazy. Resume not there yet.

Way of looking at it in a nutshell.

Has his team playing well with a backup qb in the conference championship. Improved last year by 8 wins and counting.

Agree if they had beat TCU and win today I think they would had got in.

Aranda is a great coach but not a strong enough personality to bring the level of discipline and accountability LSU needs after the O era.

They were fine when they got healthy after the Ole Miss game. Look what they did against A&M, Georgia, OU, and Clemson. Clemson 1 of 11 on 3rd down conversions, Lawrence 0 TD passes, Etienne well under 100 yards rushing.

BTW, if LSU hadn't kneeled at the end of the Ole Miss game they still win that game by 4 possessions. The Vandy game was never in question and they were tinkering in that game, because they could afford to do so.

The 2nd half of the Bama game was definitely disappointing, but Bama was incredibly loaded.


Aranda is such a solid coach.

In 2021 you choose Kelly over Aranda. Aranda is still too green and Kelly is way too proven to pass him over.

But yes, I truly believe Aranda is going to be a great one
